Maybe if he just speaks more slowly. ]
I don't think you quite understand. I am not a mere prisoner - I am Master Neloth of Great House Telvanni, and those were demands. Not requests. There is a subtle difference that those of the lower orders sometimes can't quite comprehend. Scavenge. Like a lowly acolyte scrabbling around Vivec's underthings. The very idea.

Well, Master Neloth.
The people who brought you here have done you a grave disrespect. Because you're in the same box as common folk, and higher orders alike, from worlds completely different from yours who won't recognize your standing.
You can yell at ADMIN if you want, but unfortunately, you won't get much in the way of answers.

There. One just has to know how to address those less intelligent than oneself. All those years of dealing with idiot apprentices is paying off. ]
Well. That's annoying. [SNIFF.] Other worlds, you say?
[ Suddenly all his demands don't seem so pressing. Well. Except for the tea, but he'll just have to endure. ]
Do elaborate. Unless that was a metaphor about my relative level of intelligence and wisdom.
no subject
Someone owes him. Especially if he winds up having to cough up tea.]
No, I really do mean other worlds. We've already established that some of us here come from completely different universes, or different time periods in the same worlds. I'm from Earth in 2017, for example. And, uh, human, if that's a familiar race to you.
[A faint smile crosses his voice.]
And annoying doesn't even begin to cover it. Some of those who've been here a long time have prepared a manual, at least. So you don't have to tolerate their company, you can just read it.
Some interaction's unavoidable, but there's only about...I don't know, thirty, maybe forty people here?

[ He's stroking his beard now and everything. For a moment, it seems like he's forgotten that he's talking to anyone at all.
He does remember, though. It's just not all that important. Until -- ]
This manual. Where do I find it?
[ In a tomb or an ancient ruin or something, right? That's how these things usually go ]

I usually draw my magic from both the earth and my own body, but that doesn't work here, either. There's a few theories about why, but no one is exactly sure. The town itself is a trap, and we've been working on trying to find the way out.
[He's going to be very careful about how much he shares with this guy, though...just a gut feeling. Also, he's going to be very careful not to bore the guy because, in his experience, megalomaniacs have kind of short attention spans.]
It's already on your tablet, the thing you're using to communicate with me. Hang on a second, let me see if I can...
[There we go. It takes Rhys a minute, but he manages to send the links to Watson's Guide and House's maps to the man in an easy to access link.]
There. That should get you started.
And my name is Rhys, for what it's worth. In case you need to know which minion you're referring to.

[ Ugh. Add that to this place's ever-increasing list of faults. Where's the mystery? Gods. ]
Still, Rhys, I suppose I owe you some form of compensation for the assistance. Gold usually works, where I'm from. Do you know what gold is? You'll like it. It's shiny.

I like silver better, the lunar properties align better with my abilities. I've had decent luck with making an orichalcum crux in a weapon focus, though, it had pretty good channeling properties and was able to affect non-corporeal creatures as a blade.
The low melt points were kind of a whore in the actual forging, but I've got a natural affinity to earthwork.

Though I must suggest you try ebony, considering your apparent affinities. Vvardenfell ebony in particular, though I expect that to be in even shorter supply here than canis-bloody-root.
[ Not that he's bitter. AT ALL. ]

Otherwise, I've found oak and cherry reliable performers. I have a lot of stones, too. Amber, jade, amethyst, for dispelling negative energy and protection.
[Yay, bonding?]
I don't think you'll find canis-root here, but there's varieties of tea here, from my world. If I manage to run into you, I think I can spare some for a fellow Craftsman.

[ He tosses the tablet aside - literally - so he can pick something up from offscreen. When he retrieves the tablet again, he's holding a staff. ]
This was one of mine. Disenchanted now, obviously. Prior to my arrival here it was imbued with a nasty little flame spell - most useful for reprimanding lazy apprentices.

I like lightning, but if you use it too often then you wind up with permanently twitchy underlings.
[He's mostly joking, but Neloth seems like the kind of guy that would appreciate the sentiment.]

And if you apply a mild shock enchantment to a back-scratcher, it works wonders for the circulation.
[ neloth pls ]

The villains who'd tortured him in the past were far less ostentatious. Valentina just paid a guy a hundred bucks a day to rent a garage, break his wrist with a tire iron and make sure he didn't chew through the duct tape. Neloth would probably be less than impressed.
Rhys's Demon, however, is laughing its ass off. It likes this guy, they should definitely hang out.
No they should not]I've definitely put spells to more...adventurous use. A heat spell on a pillow is great for the back.
[He's not mentioning the number of spells he's used for kinky sex though. He has a feeling it's not quite Neloth's thing, and if it is, he really doesn't want to know.]
More the shame we don't have them, here, but you can make do, if you're clever.
Unfortunately, I didn't have the luxury, so I learned
