[network] @curiouschloride | I was soaring ever higher | day 348 [open] [cw religion-driven murder]
cw: religious extremism; suicide and murder linked to religious cause; sexual harassment
[Tess looks much the same as she did when she was last seen alive. Red lines in the shape of fractals cover her body, her eyes completely red as well. There's a large feathered serpent coiled around her shoulders and an unimpressed look on her face. Anyone familiar with the columbarium might recognize the rows of plaques behind her.]
Alright, so I've had enough of playing mortal -- walking around on foot, making people breakfast, dying. I'm done, moving on, next plan. For those of you who actually fell for that whole line cook thing -- I'm Tess, Goddess of the Search, Mother Serpent, Child of Ragnarok, and Lifeblood of the Wayward -- and life blood's what we're here to talk about right now. See, my essences have been all kinds of unbalanced since I got dragged into this Hel-hole -- too much human, not enough divine. And we all know humans are basically useless, am I right?
But that's where you come in, because believe it or not, you little bastards do have the occasional use. Whoever brings me back into my power I will remember -- they will have my blessing and my protection and I will take them with me when I destroy this place.
It's nothing hard, nothing complicated, nothing one or another of you hasn't done before. There are ten or twelve liters of blood in the human body. Spill it in my name. Because hey -- even if it doesn't work, at least we'll have learned something, right?
[When she smiles, it's the same easy smile as always, the same face that makes dumb puns and offers of breakfast. Whatever has changed, Tess is still Tess...but sees nothing wrong with anything she's just said.]

I forgot to take out that CW when I changed the direction of the tag but it may still be coming
gotcha!
I do understand the need to return to duties but there must be a different path.

I do not believe you wish to do a mortal town's bidding.

[There's a certain narrowing of the eyes, a look that speaks more of the serpent than the mother.]
I am aware that I am changed. I have lost that which prevented me, has always prevented me, from accepting the most practical solution. I would take that solution before I am made weak again by my own nature.

[That's what's actually making this terrifying. Well, that and everything he has learned about her up to this point.]
I believe you already know it is a possibility that the town has changed you. [Obviously, as she just confirmed.] I also believe that you know there is a possibility that the town has a meddling in your thoughts. In your convictions of this to be effective.
You must also realize that there is a chance that this might not work. And that if so, the fallout might put you at a disadvantage for a long time to come.
[A pause.]
There must be other ways of your pantheon to attempt to regain your power. Are you willing to discuss them?
okay we're putting that sexual aggression cw back on
[Maybe. She eyes him through the screen, then jerks her chin up, a little smile appearing on her face that isn't entirely forthcoming, isn't entirely friendly.]
I can think of other ways for you to give your body to my service.
cw sexual aggression
Flynn doesn't really give all that much thought to the phrasing at first. Not that he's seriously considering a pledge but if he can maybe get her to move away from the blood sacrifices, maybe distract her until that death price wears off...]
What are these ways?

My p-- my... manhood is not a manhood for cooperation.
It is functional? It is not my wish to express that-- it surely is very functional. But it... it has no plans to be placed in the deity cave despite its... functionality.
no subject
You would refuse me everything I ask of you. If it is functional I do not see what obstacle you think lies between you and the service of your goddess.
no subject
The obstacle lies in... in my nature.
I am very timid about the-- things of my manhood.
[He clears his throat and there's a faint color rising in his face. This is the worst conversation ever.]
I... would be very nervous and a disappointment to the goddess.

Tess abruptly switches back to English, a more natural language to her despite everything. She at least doesn't sound angry anymore...she actually sounds surprised.]
You think you're going to be too scared to get it up.
no subject
No!
No, that is not-- I mean, depending on what you are planning to do I wouldn't rule it out, but-- I-I really think things are getting lost in translation here, actually, maybe we should just start over?
[He'd be so happy to go back to discussing blood sacrifices at this point.]
this post isn't locked for NSFW content soooo I'm gonna...stop shy of writing this out....
[What follows is a very frank description of sexual intercourse between a ciswoman and a cisman. Tess is expecting to top.]
no subject
Just--
Why. What is happening? Why is this happening? His hands come up flailing, voice rising an octave or two.]
W-will you just stop it! Not what I-- that is not what I meant?
Can we just-- actually, can we go back to the whole alternatives to spilling blood and killing and just, maybe we can just add getting naked and giving your body and... certain parts of your body to that list? It's just, it's not you, it's me, and me thinking that my strengths really lie somewhere else and maybe I can, hey, how about I build you a nice snow idol with some nice Aztec incantations etched into instead?
no subject
I'm really confused right now, because it kind of sounds like you're saying you'd rather build snowmen than have sex with a goddess. A goddess of sex, even. My feelings might start to get hurt here.
no subject
I'm not trying to hurt your feelings! Wait, since when are you the goddess of sex, when did that happen?
[Whatever happened to curiosity and-- exploration and learning!]

How am I possibly the one making this weird!
