Where are you? You're alive?

[There's a brief pause, and then he continues, his tone markedly different - it's a bit softer, but also more tired. Less guarded.]

Where are you? I'm in one of the newer areas; I'm in a funeral home I've never been in. Fucking cultist markings all over the walls-- answer as soon as you can, mate; please.

[Another pause, and then:]

Hello.

[He almost sing-songs his words, but only enough to just barely hide the hardness that lurks underneath.]

Do you know who I am?

[Once upon a time, this disjointed, confusing post was several separate messages. Unfortunately for Alfie, once he hit send, all privacy filters were removed - a consequence of his current death loss. For a guy who prefers private conversations over public ones by a large margin, this will not be fun.]

Are you very sure, Mr. Solomons? He will have done things he would not have otherwise. People might have asked questions, or used information they have and he does not, now. Things might go wrong.

He's very heavily affected by MN poisoning, Kesara. When he's his normal self, he doesn't care about much at all.

No, I mean while he doesn't remember. I am only thinking, because he wouldn't care if he was his normal self, that he would like someone to stop him from doing anything he wouldn't have done.

[devoutish]

Ah - well. That's why I'd like to gain his trust and find him.

And - if someone angers him, while he is this way, takes advantage of him - will you be able to talk him down when he comes back to himself and remembers?

[devoutish]

That's where the bit about the MN poisoning comes in, Kesara. Do you understand? He won't need to be talked down. He won't be likely to care at all.

But if he does - if the poisoning fades a bit - then I will, yeah.

[Though she thinks she understands, Kesara struggles to accept. In the past, she has had a complicated time making her peace with Royce and who and what he is. Now it's all come rushing back.]
