A dance off!

Well, a sing-and-dance-off. I've been wanting to do a Michael Jackson night, so guess what? We're totally doing a Michael Jackson night.

The prizes for the best song-and-dance combination are as follows:

1st Place--one exclusive song sent privately to you.
2nd Place--props and kudos and the knowledge you were better than everyone else but one person.
3rd Place--two thumbs up and the knowledge you were better than everyone else but two people.

Who's the judge? Me, of course. And I'm going to be in this competition too. Lucky the judge is all fair and impartial and stuff, right?

In case you don't know how this works, I'm gonna play the songs, you save them as separate files, and then give us a video of your best 'attempt' at singing and dancing.

[Harley claps in delight at DJ Star Lord and the tunes on his Zune being back, then pulls away from the camera-view as "Smooth Criminal" starts up. She attempts her best moonwalk but switches to freestyle when she senses that she doesn't quite have it down. The rest of the song is a bouncy, energetic mish-mash of moves (with some thanks to Mania 2). She looks like she can go on after the music stops but instead gives a huge grin and picks her tablet back up from where it's propped.]

Is that okay? Is that okay, DJ?

[He sees absolutely nothing wrong with how manic her moves are because ANY DANCING IS THE BEST DANCING. He claps along with the music, cheering wildly when she comes back to the tablet.]

Dancing? You don't know about dancing? [Gasp! Though the thought of a cat tap-dancing with it's little bitty paws distracts him for a half-a-second, Oh please he needs to see this--]

It's...wow, okay. Moving to the music. The beat. Sometimes you just gotta dance! [He demonstrates by bobbing his head to no music at all.] A dance-off is a contest between dancers to see who's better.

[Admittedly some of them were nice, but she doesn't understand the point.]

Bragging is the mark of a lesser warrior. It puts others down and gives you an unhealthy view of your own importance - much better not to get into competitions like that.
