Harley hears Steph's sigh and instantly slides over beside her.

She's been waiting for something entertaining to present itself tonight. Being a ball of energy makes the Norfinbury nights seem longer and slower than most. It's lucky for Harley that she's run into Stephanie, no matter how long the company lasts.

"Wanna talk about it? ...Him? Her?" She takes her guesses about the sigh's origin while nosily peering over at Steph's tablet.

Steph raises an eyebrow at Harley, letting her see that the tablet shows 0 new messages. Nothing particularly revealing there.

"What's to talk about? There's nothing going on."

Harley slumps a little at the tablet. No messages is hardly juicy. Still, one usually doesn't stare at their inbox unless they're waiting for something. Hoping, even.

"But you want somethin' to be goin' on, right?"

“Maybe.” She isn’t really annoyed by the prying. It’s not like her love life is some shameful secret, after all. But it’s more fun to be coy.

After a moment she sighs.

“I think he’s avoiding me.”

Harley purses her lips together. "How come?"

"I don't know. I guess he just flipped out, you know?" She huffs. It doesn't make sense to her, but she's definitely seen it happen before. It's just a guy thing, or something.

"I mean, I thought things were going really well."

[clowngirl]

"Hmm. When did he do the flippin'?" she asks, hoping to better pinpoint the problem. "Maybe he just got a case of cold feet. Guys are often intimidated by us strong female types."

[spoileralert]

"True enough. I guess it was around the time I was planning to kiss him." And they had been flirting so well before that... It must be her curse to always win at sexy chicken.

[clowngirl]

"Never hesitate to go in for the kiss. Next time you see 'im, don'tcha dare give those tonsils a chance to get away! Just go for it." She waves her hand, as if it's that simple. "You got 'im after that."

She snorts a laugh, cheered if only by the absurdity of this claim.

“And if he’s terrified of intimacy and-or commitment?”

"You just gotta show 'im how good intimacy and commitment are, is all. Hold on tight and don't let go. He'll come around."

Absurd though it is, Harley believes what she's shoveling in earnest.

She shakes her head at this. Maybe there's some validity to that plan, but...

"I guess it just doesn't seem worth it, you know? I mean, I like him, but there are other guys out there."

[clowngirl]

"Hmm, true..." Harley considers. "I guess it depends on how much you like this guy. You up to tummy butterflies yet?"

She has to think about that. How to put this...

"Enough to want to fool around without it being kinda slutty?" Does that count as tummy butterflies, or does there have to be full-out pining?

[clowngirl]

"Oh! I like that one. The problem is he doesn't know what he's missin'. Maybe try sendin' a sexy but tasteful selfie." She offers, likely proving that she shouldn't be allowed to give advice to teenagers.

She just stares for a moment.

"What... uh... what would you consider 'sexy but tasteful' exactly?"

[clowngirl]

"Okay, so you start with the illusion of nudity..." She says. "Then</> go from there. It's all about the pose."

“So... make it look like it’s a nude even though it’s not.”

Steph’s amuses as hell and not at all sure how well that would go over with Davesprite... but tempted to try it anyway just because.

"Exactamundo! Helps to keep ya from freezin' off the goods, too. Trust me, it works like 90% of the time."

She restrains a giggle.

"Okay, but you have to help me, okay? You're the expert here."

"You got it! Never say Harley never helped ya out. You want I should take the picture or am I staging coordinator?"

"Both? I can probably take the picture, though. That's the point, isn't it?"

She starts taking off her extra layers, the scarf and poncho and extra coats and shirts. Under it all is her Spoiler suit, which is warm enough for their purposes but not for a full day in the cold.

"Y'know, it's such a waste findin' out your secret identity and not havin' you be a billionaire heiress or Taylor Swift or somebody recognizable. What am I s'posedta even do with that information?" She shakes her head, mostly musing aloud to herself.

"Anyhoo, you're gonna wanna be quick on account of brrr and take the suit down just enough to catch a glimpse but not an ogle. Find your best angle and snap! And then hit send real quick so you don't have a chance to wimp out."

“You realize my secret identity is literally my username, right?” This should not come as a surprise to anyone.

“Though I think Joker still thinks I’m Robin. Hard to say.” She corrected him many times, but it never seems to sink in.

She sets about following the instructions, unzipping far enough that she suspects she’s crossing the slutty-line.

“Is this too far?”

"You're good!" Harley answers, her own line between acceptable and not being highly questionable.

"You were Girl Robin too? Huh. Mr. J considers killin' Robins part of his shtick. He was always really sore at Masky for stealin' that from 'im. So he's always gonna see you as Robin, but bein' the one you are is prob'ly all that keeps you alive," she explains.
