On occasion. I'm rather fond of machetes, but I can fight with my hands if needed.

Do you swing it like a sword in a fight, or has it got its own technique?

A bit of both, depending on the situation. Swinging it like a sword is effective, but a stabbing motion works as well. In case you wondered, I don't always carry a machete. I do if I'm going to be in the jungle somewhere, or if it's the only weapon available.

If I were to find one here, however, I would not complain.

Yeah, well, if wishes were horses and all that. I wouldn't mind a machete myself, but I think we're both gonna have to make do with smaller things. Now, knives - knives you'll find plenty of.

Oh, I know. I'm not much of a believer in wishes when one can simply take action. Although I'm told weapons are hard to come by around here. But if you say there's plenty of knives, then that helps.

Well-- there's plenty of sharp stuff that can be made into knives. Scissors and the like. Are you the creative sort?

I wouldn't call it creative. Resourceful, perhaps. And I suppose rocks that can be sharpened will do in a pinch. Scissors are more convenient.

Resourceful's useful here. Wrap your feet up in plastic when you can find it, before you stick 'em in your boots. It protects your skin from the wet.
