Before I came here, my clan's medicine cat gave me a prophecy. "Fire alone will save our clan". I've been so hopeful for other cats - perhaps even the cat that prophecy refers to - that I probably would have listened to anything he said if he'd been more tactful.

[On the other hand... she likes hearing the name 'Firestar'. It gives her high hopes for the flame-colored kittypet she'd planned to bring into her clan.]

When you talk about medicine cats, do you mean some sort of spiritual healer?

Medicine cats heal our sick and wounded. They collect herbs and different things that help them - I'm not sure what, exactly, but I know they put cobwebs on wounds and bitter herbs for strength during travel. Mouse bile for ticks, that sort of thing. They also share tongues with StarClan, our warrior ancestors, and bring us prophecies and advice. Without them, we'd likely never survive.

Twolegs have something similar, right?

That's really fascinating. I've never studied old- I mean, other methods of medicine, but I've always wanted to. [ You're intriguing him, Bluestar. ] Your people sound incredible.
