Characters: Shiki Misaki and Lancer
Location J9
Date: Day 2. Afternoon? Some time in the afternoon.
Summary: Oh shit, two people randomly ran into each other in the snow.
Warnings: God, I'm bad at predicting these. For all I know this might be either the start of a fantastic friendship or one of them will end up bleeding to death in the snow. Will edit if/when necessary.
...and around him was rubble.
This didn't say much. He'd come from rubble and he was heading towards more rubble, and if one of those nights he ended up dying from not finding a house he wouldn't be exactly surprised. Startled, annoyed, but ultimately not surprised, what with his shit luck and all.
Which reminded him that moving was a good idea, and he was almost prepared to just move, to escape the field of rubble and go find some shelter to stay at for the night (and it would be smarter to have just picked a house and to stay in it, but he needed to move) when there was a noise. A very deliberate noise.
...there shouldn't be a noise. He hadn't seen anything living that would make a noise. Which meant-
"Who's there?" Louder, and slightly angrier (vaguely accusatory, really, stop sneaking around and show yourself), than anticipated, but something about this place set his teeth on edge.

"I could ask the same of you."
Her voice is wary, and perhaps a tad accusatory in its own right -- completely understandable on both ends, given the situation at hand. If you'd spent all day in a scary new place all on your own without your consent, would you really be all happy go lucky with the first person you met?
"Are you one of the kidnappers?"

There was a distinct lack of dignity to be had, basically. A moment passed, and then a second and then there was a deliberate sigh as he rubbed the back of his head. She sounded young. Which...didn't say a lot besides the fact they wouldn't be drinking in any pubs if someone found one (which they wouldn't, but who the hell knew) but she sounded harmless. Maybe.
And if not he could just fight her. Problem solved.
"Besides, anybody who's one of the kidnappers would be an idiot if they were out here alone, especially if they announced who they were to the first person who asked. There's a lot of pissed off people on the network. I'm one of them."
