This is the survival guide written by @LELRIC. He's been here a long time, I think.
This is a map of the town compiled by @hotstud_xxx, and a guide that goes along with it.
This is a list of various resources compiled by @beyonce.
@superbia; text
[ For example, who kidnapped him and why, where was he, and of course if he was dead. And was whoever writing this an actual person, or just some kind of a welcome bot? One way to find out. ]
Is this some kinda fucked up game?
[ It does smell like something Future Byakuran could cook up, but the fact that the house isn't built entirely of marshmallows and feathered boas suggests against it. Still, he does open the first link and start reading. ]
no subject
I guess it could be. If it is, though, nobody here has any proof. It seems like it's just a town that went through something horrible.

Hello, new people. I'm Gabriel. Definitely refer to the survival guide Diana's shared above. It's important.
But if you've done that, got yourself situated, and realized you need help with something specific? Take a look at the Norfinbury Skills Directory. Or just ask here, I'm sure someone will try to help out.
Also, if anyone has any skills they want to add to it, just let me know. I'll add it right away. Don't give me powers, though. No one here has those right now.
@jphawkins, text
I've got a book on codes, too.
no subject
And codes, huh? That could be really useful. You should send that over to Flynn- @librarian. He's trying to put together a digital library for everyone. Or you could send it to me and I'll send it over? 'cause I'd love to read that.

Can you elaborate on the last part? "Powers" and "no one here" having them.
[ Enough time had passed for him to realize that some part of him seems missing, as if frozen more deeply than the unhospitable environment could possibly cause. It's unnerving. Of course, actually admitting it seems like a bad idea, so he's spinning it the other way in hopes to
hearread more. ][ Oh, and guess who has skills for multiple categories in that list and will helpfully not mention any of them. ]

@superbia; voice; day 287 soon after lockdown
If anyone's hearing this: can I get a winter coat anywhere? Or five. Or a bunch'a scarves. Or anything made from wool. Or a goddamn bear. I'll even take one of those embarrassing knitted helmets 'cause it's that fucking cold.
[ Sure enough, there's a bit of that uneven shake in the speaker's voice that suggests a poor attempt at hiding his shivering. ]
Don't have much to trade right now but I can give you a raincheck for favors or anything remotely not junk I come across.
@jwatson; audio
We can hear you, mate.
D'you know where you are on the map? I'm on my way to meet with a patient, but I can leave a what I have in a house nearby where I am now for you to pick up. It's only a scarf and pair of oven mitts you can use for gloves, but it'll be something. I'll keep an eye out for other clothes, as well. In the meanwhile, if you're in a house with a sofa or an arm chair, you should be able to rip that open and pull out the stuffing. Pack that into your coat--they should have left one for you when you woke up--particularly the pockets. You can stuff your hands in there as makeshift gloves.
I'm sorry you've come in from somewhere warmer. Most of us did. I'm John. What's your name?

@w.graham; night 289 - voice
At some point he'd activated his tablet and had spent time doing little more than watching, listening and cycling through belief and disbelief. His imagination was good but he didn't think it was this good.
Eventually he took some time to review the documents provided, wryly amused at some of what he read. The map was given close consideration, as he was already starting to feel the oppressive itch to move; may have even tested the locked door a time or two before finally sitting down.
While normally Will could have gone days without speaking to anyone -particularly when he was considering the possibility of having suffered a psychotic break- the restlessness he was feeling at the moment drove him to toggle on the tablet. ]
If I've done my homework, like a good little student, and I'm reading this map right -congratulations on your level of anal retention, whoever made that- then I believe I'm close to the police station.
Is there any benefit to proceeding to that location, or has it been ransacked beyond all recognition at this point?

I'm seconding the suggestion to keep going and get the coffee. As far as I know, it's the only hot coffee in the whole town.
But yeah, items get 'restocked' every so often. It's almost never with anything really useful. It's always things like thumb tacks and tape and you only get clothes if you're really lucky. Food spots- like the fast food place or the school- they get restocked every night.
Huh- I was figuring we'd just get one this time, but I guess you were off doing the smart thing and reading through all the material. You have any other questions? Not that we have a lot of answers, but I can hand you what we have managed to figure out.

House's map is certainly one of the more useful resources we have now. We need that level of detail - and you'll find attention to it can turn up a surprising amount of information.
I would welcome you, but-...none of us really are, I think. Forgive my exhaustion, I know you can hear it. I've been here for months. I'll do my best to help you adjust as well as you can. It's the least I can offer for another trapped here.
[Once again, he forgets to introduce himself, despite knowing his username isn't immediately obvious as his real name for months. Delayed introductions (or perhaps none) are an unfortunate habit of having to adopt so many aliases that he hasn't managed to drop in his time here.]
