Might not work, sure. Might do, though, so it's worth trying. If we have a way to slow them down, might reduce the number of people who die to anomalies.

The stuff hits 'em but I don't think they really care that they're being hit.

You could nuke them with a ruined house from orbit and all it'd do is bury 'em.

They might not get hurt, but they might get slowed down, and that's good enough. If this stuff can slow them down, it might help more people get away when they're ambushed.
