[SHADOWNET] @featherydouche; day 284; calling all computer nerds [semi-open]

so winter coming to talk has made some things clear
namely that we need to fix whatever is going wrong with the network or else it might shut down entirely
and that includes the nanomachines keeping us alive among probably other important stuff keeping this place running
so
forewarning that i dont know if this plan will actually fix the issue
but i talked to her and its basically the best thing ive got right now
i also want to say before anything else DONT TALK ABOUT THIS WHERE THE ADMIN CAN SEE
stick to this app or direct messages
do not talk about it on the main network or odds are the plan will be stopped before we can do anything with it
anyway
do you guys remember when we smashed the tablets
ive still got the chips from inside mine
if anyone else still has theirs then speak up
but theyre supposed to be quantum chips and thats fancy and powerful and whatever else right
and the idea came up of using them to try to build a computer to try to poke deeper at the network
for that we need to make sure of a few things
1 that this thing is more powerful than the tablets to prevent the whole exploding tablet thing that happened last time
2 that its portable because we need to find the right place to even get proper access
3 that we find places still with power to try it at
4 that someone who knows computer shit can put this together so we can even access the network at all
which is kind of a tall order and depends on us pooling our resources together
as in donating what electronics weve got with us to cannibalize for parts
BUT
winter also suggested looking around to see if we can find a secure computer that already exists in town
the only one we seem to know about right now was the one on the top floor of the building with the cells
which people cant access now for some reason
someone else will have to explain that to me because i havent tried to go back and dont want to
but i also poked through stuff other people were saying to winter and it looks like if we even want to try that place then people would need to find a machine to alter our nanomachines first
so like
thing one is i want to hand these chips off to somebody who actually knows what to do with them
and i guess thing two is figuring out if weve got enough electronics between us all to try to build a computer
or if not then what to do to try to find a preexisting secure computer
plus looking for something to alter our nanomachines since that might be useful just on its own
yall who know computer shit are welcome to try to direct this better since im hardly the dude to tell people what to do on that front

So they are like a computer, right?
There is one even with a place for sd cards.
