[log] Disappear [closed]
Characters: Stephen, Peter, Bucky, and Steph
Location: The area that once contained building 279
Date: Morning 265
Summary: This building is pining for the fjords
Warnings: Mass confusion
[279: THIS BUILDING DOES NOT EXIST.
This looks like any place in Norfinbury that doesn't have anything there: just empty snow and rubble. When a person tries to traverse it, they will realize that they've gone around the area instead of through it after they have gone around.]

I think the admin thought of a new way to keep us out of places she doesn't want us going. Kind of worrying, when you think about it.
no subject
What if there are other places that are disappeared around here and we don't even know about it?
no subject
[He doesn't have any solutions to offer at the moment.]
If she could do this the whole time, I don't see why she wouldn't have already done it to any buildings we could use to access her location.
no subject
[Probbaly not helping.]
no subject
[No, that's not helping. The miraculous healing? The sewed-together anomaly-people who'd followed them around? How much of that is what's real and how much is a nice little layer of perception keeping them from seeing the truth? The trembling in Stephen's hands is growing steadily worse. He looks away, toward the north.]
I'm getting out of here. I've got someone to meet.
no subject
Don't do something stupid and die, doc.
[With a half-hearted wave, he turned around to go back where Steph or Bucky had headed. He stopped several feet away, grimacing. They'd be okay on their own, but Stephen was alone and had just gone through something seriously heavy.
Wavering, he hopped from one foot to the other, before turning around to go back. He cursed in Kree under his breath.]
Das't. I'm gonna regret this.
no subject
...You forget something?

[Peter grumbled as he trudged through the snow towards Strange.]
I'm going in the direction you're going. What a weird coincidence.
[His tone was dry. He figured Stephen probably would get offended if he explained he was just trying to be a good person by making sure he wasn't alone right now, or at least if he said it outright. He seemed to hate it when Peter offered a modicum of sympathy last time, luckily he'd had plenty of experience dealing with Rocket, so...]

I'm sorry. About earlier.
no subject
Are you thinking clearly? Sick? Dizzy? Or maybe I am, cause I don't think I heard you correctly.
Maybe you could say it again, just a little bit louder?
[Because jokes were better than dealing with Real Stuff!]
no subject
[But that kind of helps, in a way, counter-intuitively enough. Stephen huffs out a soft sound of amusement, glancing at him more openly now.]
no subject
[He smirks, obviously not actually offended.]

Not even close. Clean your ears and try again.

[Hmmph. A smirk. He promptly reaches down and picks up a handful of snow. He smushes it into a snowball, and promptly throws it at Stephen like the extremely mature adult he is.]
no subject
[Stephen reflexively lifts his arm to block, but the snowball splatters against his shoulder.]
Oh, now you've done it.
[Except when Stephen stoops to do the same his hands are shaking badly enough that he can hardly pack the snow together. He stands back up, a snowball in his rubber gloved hands, and narrows his eyes at Peter.]
Come over here.
no subject
Nope.

He tries to rapidly gather up another one.]
Face it, wizards suck at snowball fights. It's just fact.
no subject
Talk to me when we lose the nanomachines and I'll summon an avalanche for you.
[Somehow. He can probably figure out how to do that.]
no subject
[He quickly attempts to reload as well, but he presents an open target as he takes his eyes off Stephen a moment to grab a mound of snow.]
no subject
[He'd figure it out. He's good at figuring things out. Meantime, he steps in closer and hurls his handful of snow before darting off northward.]
no subject
[He was too busy weaving an elaborate insult and gets clocked in the face. Ow, that's cold--]
I'll have my revenge!
[He chases after Stephen, trying to scoop up some snow while running at the same time.]
