[The shift from confusion and fear to confusion and anger is swift and sudden. Stephen snarls, abruptly shifting back from the bars and kicking out in the direction of the voice, hard. Unfortunately for Stephen, he's still barefoot and the bars are quiet solid; the snarl is followed up by a gasp of pain as he slumps against the near wall, his smarting foot held off the floor.]

Oh... [Enoch winces at the impact, stepping closer to watch the way he holds the foot.]

Are you all right? Please be careful... We warn against defiance for your safety, you know...

[He's not putting his foot back down yet, but the worst he's done is stub a few toes -- even if he'd wanted to, he wouldn't have been permitted to kick hard enough to break any bones.]
