[He wishes he could still teleport. Normally he prefers not to use his powers unless necessary but having them absent completely is a different sort of situation. He's ex special forces, he's trained for covert rescue operations, he knows he could do this, if only he weren't a week's worth of travel away. This is a time, he thinks, where using his power, even if it were briefly to cover distance, would be worth it.

It's a strange feeling, not being able to will himself somewhere. Sometimes he catches himself trying it but all he gets from the attempt is a headache.]
