Indeed. I find immortals boring by their nature. The mortal realms suit me much better.

I guess after a few hundred years, a few thousand years, you can get set in your ways. Nothing feels like it's new. Mortality can be terrifying, but it's also incentive to make a mark. To do something with your time.

[He's thought about it a few times. Lifetimes are a strange thing when existence is so...subjective.]

Precisely so. Mortal life is richer, things are more significant. Mortals assign value to things the gods care about not a whit.

[Rhys decides he likes this Cat. Not just because it's a cat, but because it's the kind of Immortal he would want to be, if he were to live forever. Not aloof and jaded, but full of a million tiny, precious experiences.]
