Would you like some advice? Of course unless you want to get converted. Might be nicer, really.

Apparently so.
You'll probably be just fine then.
[And end up as a footnote in the next training manual should Mycroft ever get back.]

[And him. He was actually terrified out of his mind with Royce and Alfie and would like to know how not to be. But he can pretend, looking mock-fascinated over at Mycroft's cell.]
CW: Descriptions of torture
Everybody breaks eventually. Well, according to the manuals. I've seen someone resist...most legal methods...and he revealed nothing. For most non-psychopaths, everyone breaks. The sooner one accepts that, the sooner one can stop being afraid of it, and has a chance to prepare for the eventuality. Everyone has pressure points. If they can find that, they can make you do anything.
[Sherlock isn't here, so Mycroft is relieved about that.]
Technically information retrieved upon duress can be compromised or unusable, however I doubt they're trying to extract information from us. Whatever they're going to do, it's probably going to try to 'convert' us. Which means that they're likely to use both positive and negative motivators. There'll be pain, then a kindness. I'm sure you've heard of Stockholm Syndrome. It's basically the same thing. The human body and mind can only withstand so much, and they'll be there to swoop in with the positive motivator when we are too weak to resist it.
I doubt they're bound by any international law, so I'd expect anything goes. Some of the more common ones could range anywhere from waterboarding, to sleep deprivation, boredom, isolation...to any litany of things. A drop of water dripping on a person's eye for so long can drive him mad.

[He knows all about using gallows humor during trying times. Both him and Sherlock included.]

The trick is to last as long as you can without breaking. And considering they're likely not after information, the only thing we can do is hold on until we're A. rescued or B. foiled whatever plans they originally had for us.

CW: Suicide
Ask someone else, I'm sure there's loads of volunteers.

Coward.
[But he'll leave the other man alone after that. For now, anyway.]
CW: Suicide
He huffily glares out of the cell, soon to be lost in his own thoughts.]
