Mister Enoch!

[Quark doesn't even have to think about it--he hugs Enoch back automatically. He doesn't want to let go. It's an embrace that makes him feel so warm.]

I'm really happy to see you again. I've been so worried about you.

[Because he's the one in the position to worry, obviously.]

[Enoch picks up on that exact line of thought, laughing gently as he lifts Quark up.

...Children his age should not take this much effort to lift. Being stripped of all but what he came in with is really driving home how much muscle mass he's lost. At least he's not struggling, there's still plenty of strength left in those arms of his.]

I appreciate it, my little friend, but you should be worried about caring for yourself, in your condition.

I'll be okay. I'm really tough, you know. And Doctor John's been keeping an eye on me. I dunno where we are, but when we get back, he'll make sure that I heal okay.

[This whole situation is weird, and it should be scary, but Quark can't seem to focus on the bad no matter how much he knows he ought to. So he smiles instead of feeling nervous.]

I hope everyone else is okay. Do you think that just like last time, there are different groups of all of us separated from one another?

Perhaps. I hope they're all as safe as we are. In fact, they likely are...

[It's hard to be worried enough to go leave and try to find them. Can't be too worried when there is an adorable child to hug, right?]

You're right. I'm sure they're all okay.

[How can they not be okay? They probably have food, too. And beds. And heat. And clean clothes. It doesn't matter where they are. None of it matters. There's no reason to try and figure it all out.]

I guess we'll know what to do next as soon as we're meant to.
