I don't -- hang on, I didn't check.

[Then comes as discreet a check of his own body as Stephen can manage, both under and outside the gown. It takes just a few moments, and then he's breathing out a little sigh of relief and shaking his head.]

Nada. And whatever code they're using on this wristband doesn't mean anything to me, either.

[Speaking of which, he fiddles with it again, still unable to do much to it with his free hand. Bringing his wrist to his mouth and biting it is similarly unproductive.]

Great, awesome.

[ He messes with his wristband, too, but with similar results. ]

You know, I'm almost preferring the slow, hideous death via radiation poisoning to the nanomachines, at this point. At least the radiation poisoning doesn't keep jerking you around.

It wouldn't be that slow of a death if the nanomachines stopped cold turkey.

[Just saying. Stephen doesn't elaborate further, but he does worry at the bracelet with his teeth a little while more before further examination convinces him he's not achieved anything beyond getting saliva on his wrist.]

We haven't been altered, as far as I can tell. Not mentally -- it'd be easy enough to stop us from wanting to leave, given what else they can do.

The control's pretty precise, that's for sure. We'll probably see some of it before the day's out. Really hope we don't, though.

[ He can handle just about anything but that. ]

But then why the cages? If they're going to mind control us, there'd be nothing stopping them from already doing it.
termineur: (Noticed a threat)

[personal profile] termineur 2017-07-19 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe it's not a permanent thing. Or it takes up too much processing power or energy or both to do it on a large group.

[ He just now realizes how much he doesn't like the implications of this thought, and it shows on his face. ]

Or we've all been cast in a historical reenactment.
termineur: (idk)

[personal profile] termineur 2017-07-20 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that's possible, too. Likely, even. We seem to do that every other time something goes crazy in this place.

Makes you wonder who they've tapped to play the other roles.
termineur: (Left to my thoughts)

[ Sylar thunks his head lightly on the bars. ]

I'm hoping they give the people who had it bad last time a break. At least.

[ He's worried about Al. ]
thewarningafter: (goatee | snark | tired deadpan honesty)

Mm.

[This place? Give people a break?]

If we're lucky, this'll be over in a day or two.
