Could be the cultists nabbed her and left her one of them white cells, decaying and banging on the walls for a hundred years until this strange lady found her.

Here's hoping the same thing doesn't happen to us... That would be a lame punchline to this gag, eh?

You got any meds that can make this miserable poisoning a bit less miserable?

[There's a long pause. Long enough that Joker might well believe House has hung up on him as the doctor ponders whether he wants to get involved with that noise. On the one hand, a sickened Joker is one whom others might be able to defend against more effectively. On the other hand, a healthier Joker might be less inclined to cause mischief because he's miserable and his mind will be more focused.]
