[Here's a summary of the last ten or so hours of Jay's life: he woke up locked inside a spooky cold morgue in the middle of the night, suffering from a terrible headache and sensitivity to light that made him want to curl up in the shadows. Then, just as he finally managed to fall asleep, he woke up to a mystery injection with no warning. Then, upon inspecting the tablet he found on him, he discovered he'd recently posted a video on the local network despite having no memory of doing so. A video that made it look a lot like he'd died.

Actually, he seems to be missing at least several weeks' worth of memories. Again.

And just to top everything off, he has no tapes for his camera.

Everything really sucks.

He hadn't planned on making any more posts until he had a better grasp on the situation, but after a skim of earlier posts he feels the need to ask a question.]

Apparently a couple of people here have lost their memories and then gotten them back. Is that a common thing? If there's anyone else who's experienced something like that, please tell me. Thank you.

I don't remember anything about this place. Can you tell me a little about it?

[ That's— a lot of time. There's a pause before the next message comes. ]

We've been here about three weeks. You came in with the first batch of arrivals. You can probably already tell that we don't want to be here, but we can't get out. There's been some things going on - you can probably figure it all out by looking at some of the recent posts on the network. The short story's this: there are these things that come out of the shadows. They're dangerous.

I'm Clarke. We met on here a while ago, and I met you and Tim in person not too long ago.

[More people he's apparently on friendly terms with. It'd be nice and all, but not remembering just makes it kind of creepy.]

Does anyone know what the things are? Or what's causing them to show up?

I wish. They sort of look like the things on the video you uploaded.

I guess you don't remember that, though. You found a video of something in the school, and it looked a little bit like the creatures we're dealing with now.

So all we know is that they're creepy and kill people. Which is better than NOT knowing about the latter I guess.

When did I find that video? Is there any chance that there might be more to find in that school?

Haha... if you want to look at it that way, I guess it is.

You uploaded it about two weeks ago. By more to find, do you mean more videos? I'm not sure, but the school is pretty large. You have a good chance of finding something if you search the whole place, but that would take several days.

Several days isn't that much really. Seems to me like all we've got in this place is time.

You could say that, but a lot of people seem to be unnerved by the school. They don't want to stay there longer than they have to. I'm not sure if you were, but the video was definitely off-putting.

I'm not planning to move in to live there. But if there's anything to be found there that might shed a light on things I think it's worth looking for.

Okay. Just be careful. And take Tim with you. It's safer with someone to watch your back.

I don't think Tim will let me out of his sight for a second once we meet up so that's a given. We'll be fine.
