[ Steph still has a bandage over one cheek, taped in place with packing tape. But at least the injury underneath it isn't as disturbing anymore, just an unpleasant growing scab. ]

Alright kids, it's that time again. Let's talk about what we all saw when things went crazy two days ago.

I hope you've all got at the very least some pain killers by now, but if you're still waiting for medical help? Please take care of yourself and don't strain yourself trying to answer this.

Now we all know that eyes are a theme. What I want to know is what sort of things we saw besides eyes.

For us there was a glowing like fire, or like Andromeda's eyes, I guess. Ice fell from the top of the tunnels. [ That was... upsetting, considering the way Kes and Zach each died last. Steph shudders. ] And, uh... god, there's not a way to put this that isn't creepy as hell, we got... licked.

So there was that. What else do you guys have for me?

Nothing else about any of this seems to have made any sense. At least it seems to be over.

I'd consider it another hallucination if my leg didn't have such a permanent-looking hole in it.

Nah. We're meeting up with Dr. Volakis later. She has a cane, so Al won't have to cart me around everywhere after this.

[ He's doing much worse than he's trying to let on, but who would care anyway, right? He does switch the next bit to private, though. He's feeling too raw about it to leave it out in public. ]

You've been through Hsiaoke Pass, right? I've heard it's rough going. Do you think I could navigate it at all?

It's rough going. You can manage it, but it will be dangerous. The place isn't stable, it has a habit of breaking down on top of people. Not that your ability to move quickly seems to have any impact on the results.

You can do it. But be careful.

[ That was way better news than he'd been expecting, actually. He thought he'd be cut off entirely from that part of town by now. ]

[ The idea of anyone depending on him for anything seems ludicrous, especially right now. The fact that it's for something he'd kind of already self-imposed on himself, it makes him smile a little.

Steph's not stupid or unobservant- she would've certainly seen that he's not exactly a good guy on the network by now. But she's never brought it up, and she apparently trusts him this far. Of course, it could just be a reminder to be kind to Al- and he probably could stand to hear it. But it's still a nice thing to hear on this painful, awful day. ]
