[ Steph still has a bandage over one cheek, taped in place with packing tape. But at least the injury underneath it isn't as disturbing anymore, just an unpleasant growing scab. ]

Alright kids, it's that time again. Let's talk about what we all saw when things went crazy two days ago.

I hope you've all got at the very least some pain killers by now, but if you're still waiting for medical help? Please take care of yourself and don't strain yourself trying to answer this.

Now we all know that eyes are a theme. What I want to know is what sort of things we saw besides eyes.

For us there was a glowing like fire, or like Andromeda's eyes, I guess. Ice fell from the top of the tunnels. [ That was... upsetting, considering the way Kes and Zach each died last. Steph shudders. ] And, uh... god, there's not a way to put this that isn't creepy as hell, we got... licked.

So there was that. What else do you guys have for me?

[Kid doesn't like the speech to text function all that much. So here he is, curled up in a corner and looking sleepy thanks to a different cough medication from Watson, on the video feed. He's got scrapes all over his visible skin, plus the bandage over his empty right eye socket. His voice is hoarse and small, likely from frequent coughing.]

Undertaker and I encountered a lot of puddles, as if snow had melted. They seemed to get deeper and deeper, and harder to get out of when stepped into. There was a voice that told us not to look down, but there was no way not to.

When we looked, there was a half-human half-tentacle creature--not under the water but in the reflection. It smiled, then pulled us underwater. It was very difficult to get back to the surface. I only vaguely remember Undertaker pulling me out.

And the water was sharp. It was able to leave cuts everywhere. [Kid shows one hand to the camera screen to illustrate his point: his fingertips are slightly blue from the cold but on his hands are countless tiny scrapes.]

But no prophet or glowing eyes. Nothing of that nature at all.

[ She stares at the feed with a wide-eyed frown. Good lord that's alarming. ]

The reflection pulled you underwater?

Good to know there's no logic involved in any of this.

[Kid shrugs tiredly, rubbing his remaining eye.]

Yes. That is the best way I am able to describe it. The creature was definitely not under the water itself--it was in the reflection.

I am trying to suspend any application of logic to these situations. [He frowns.] It makes things more confusing.

Smart, that's my policy too. Except for the themes and motifs. One of them definitely seems to be ice and snow. Almost like the town itself was attacking us.

Even less dangerous conditions of town--in which there is less ice and snow but melted puddles--proved to be hazardous. The earth itself was attacking.

It had not occurred to me to consider a pattern amongst what people experienced.

There are patterns in everything. If we can figure out the patterns, we might be able to figure out what it all means.

[There's hesitance, before Kid sheepishly adds:] I...almost did not want to ask what people had experienced. What I had seen was enough.

I didn't really want to either. But this is important. It all means something. We just don't know what.
