[log] Event: Lavender's Green, Part Two [open]

Characters: everyone
Location: mysterious, white hallways
Date: Day 193-194
Summary: Find friends. Get lost. Don't look.
Warnings: Potential for gore and psychological horror. Please note any specific warnings in your subject lines!

While confusingly similar, the area is split into a few different sections:

The Core
The hallways here are narrow and twist at a rapid rate. With how dazzlingly white everything is, it's easy to not realize you're coming on a turn and slam right into the walls. There are no rooms here--no one starts here, though they may find it while they wander. At the center is a large, round area, like the center of a spiral. There's a lot of air pressure here.

The Inner Hallways
The largest area, filled with dead ends, gentle slopes and twists, and, occasionally, difficult-to-see drops where a higher hallway intersects with a lower one without a wall to separate them. The whole place tastes vaguely like blood. Most rooms are here--most people start here.

The Outer Hallways
The outer ring of the ball of yarn. It's not as thick with halls and twists as the other two areas, leading to a lot more boring walking in one direction. It's totally possible to circle around the same path multiple times without realizing it, as everything is so similar here. Occasionally, footsteps can be heard just outside the farthest walls. Sometimes, something breathes. There are a few rooms here--some people will start here.

Remember to note what kind of eyes your character has in their top level!

That's awful!

[He sounds and looks genuinely horrified, he had no idea.]

I knew Dr. Stein was dangerous, but I had no idea that he had done something like that to Kid, I thought-- I thought it was just Dr. Watson.

[ Sylar sighs and purses his lips. He takes a moment to rub his hands together, pressing on individual joints as if testing a machine. ]

Yeah. We had thought him being there would be enough to keep Stein behaving himself. Apparently not. And considering how bad Kid looked when I saw him, I don't know how much medical help he's gotten since then.

Okay, so priority one- see if we can find him and any other people? Priority two- find a way out, probably through the center?

And I don't want to lose you. Let me carry you, please?

[ C'mon, Al, don't make him ask to hold hands. He'll do it. ]

[He always knew that there was something very off about Stein, even before this started happening. It was the voice, so similar to another scientist who took things too far.

But he's distracted by that offer. It's things like this which just go to support Gabriel's claim that he wants to be a better man, not many relentless killers would make that plea with such sincerity.]

...okay, fine. But not for long, I don't want you wearing yourself out in here.

[Not that he's at all heavy to carry.]

Have you tried putting your hand on the left wall and following that? It might take us towards the centre, at least I think that's how mazes work.

[ Success! Sylar does his best not to grin about 'winning' this particular fight as he reaches out to pick Al up, rather carefully. If requested, he'll move from carrying Al in his arms to putting Al on his back. As it stands now, though, it doesn't seem at all difficult for him to carry the kid. Al's about the most literal definition of skin-and-bones he's ever seen. ]

I'll put you down as soon as I get tired, promise. We're going to need breaks, anyway.

[ As for the rest of it... ]

Yeah, might as well give it a shot. I was trying to mark the walls with my rations earlier, but the marks would disappear or reappear as something else. I wouldn't be surprised if these halls change over time.
