[log] Event: Lavender's Green, Part Two [open]
Characters: everyone
Location: mysterious, white hallways
Date: Day 193-194
Summary: Find friends. Get lost. Don't look.
Warnings: Potential for gore and psychological horror. Please note any specific warnings in your subject lines!
While confusingly similar, the area is split into a few different sections:
The Core
The hallways here are narrow and twist at a rapid rate. With how dazzlingly white everything is, it's easy to not realize you're coming on a turn and slam right into the walls. There are no rooms here--no one starts here, though they may find it while they wander. At the center is a large, round area, like the center of a spiral. There's a lot of air pressure here.
The Inner Hallways
The largest area, filled with dead ends, gentle slopes and twists, and, occasionally, difficult-to-see drops where a higher hallway intersects with a lower one without a wall to separate them. The whole place tastes vaguely like blood. Most rooms are here--most people start here.
The Outer Hallways
The outer ring of the ball of yarn. It's not as thick with halls and twists as the other two areas, leading to a lot more boring walking in one direction. It's totally possible to circle around the same path multiple times without realizing it, as everything is so similar here. Occasionally, footsteps can be heard just outside the farthest walls. Sometimes, something breathes. There are a few rooms here--some people will start here.
Remember to note what kind of eyes your character has in their top level!

[John hasn't seen any blood trails. You're going to need to elaborate.]

no subject
No. Bloody hell. Is it Tony and House leaving them?
[Because they seemed to be the ones all about the blood marking thing.]

no subject
What, you mean you don't like walking around in a white hellscape with no direction or instructions and a plethora of spooky sounds? Where's your adventurous spirit?
no subject
[He looks around for a moment again.]
What d'you think this really is? The spiral we're meant to be traveling?
no subject
But there's nothing here, so I don't know. If it's supposed to be the spiral it's kind of anticlimactic, right?

no subject
[ Wait, is he supposed to tell John about Bucky... he has no idea. ] Uh. Davesprite, or Ecks?
no subject
I haven't seen any of them. I've run into England, Emily, Dr. Volakis, Pandora, the Joker, and Bucky.
I haven't been able to keep track of them.
no subject
Yeah. Wait, Pandora? Is she okay? [ He latches onto that name. ] She sent me a message before we got here telling me she felt sick, and I found out she hadn't eaten in like half a week.
no subject
Half a week?
[He frowns.]
Did she say why? She's really not okay, but I thought it was something mucking about with her head here. Stay away from her if we get split up. She went rabid when I got too close.

no subject
Clint, I think Pandora might be a zombie.
no subject
... Well, shit, that actually makes a lot of sense. [ Huh. ] How - but... she's like, smart, though. She's not a brainless drooling terror.
no subject
I mean, uh... there are lots of different versions of zombies, aren't there? Did you read that Romeo and Juliet zombie book? Warm Bodies, I think it was. The zombies in that just had to kind of have their emotions awakened. Still wanted to eat flesh and all, but they weren't mindless. Or, like, Being Human? D'you get BBC Three over in America? It's about this ghost girl, a vampire, and a werewolf sharing a flat together. And there's a zombie girl that turns up in that and she's mostly normal, just kind of... falls apart after awhile.
no subject
[ Also this place is weird so he wouldn't put it past Norfinbury to straight up bring in a zombie girl. ] I haven't seen any of those, but really, I wouldn't rule out the possibility if you can think of examples where zombies aren't brainless drooling terrors.
She did tell me she was in a place with scientists before. And that they'd strap her to a chair to take her places. Maybe they were testing her.
[ He rubs at his face. ] That's unsettling.
no subject
They strapped her to a chair?
[All of this is horrifying in the context of this just being a little girl.]
Jesus Christ. Some of the places people come from... I'm not sure sending them back there is the right thing when we get out.
no subject
I'm gonna keep checking up on her though.
no subject
Someone needs to be with her, help her figure out what to do so she can be near people and still not want to bite them.
no subject
Yeah. Don't worry so much about it, alright? I'll see what I can do about helping her. I don't really wanna put her in the same place as - you know, Ecks and Davesprite, but I'll help her. Cross my heart, man.
If we find our way out, anyway.
If we want to fade on smalltalk and handwave them getting separated, I'm cool with that!
sounds good!
Yeah, you too. Stiff upper lip, right? Let's go. [ And off they go. ]
