While confusingly similar, the area is split into a few different sections:

The Core
The hallways here are narrow and twist at a rapid rate. With how dazzlingly white everything is, it's easy to not realize you're coming on a turn and slam right into the walls. There are no rooms here--no one starts here, though they may find it while they wander. At the center is a large, round area, like the center of a spiral. There's a lot of air pressure here.

The Inner Hallways
The largest area, filled with dead ends, gentle slopes and twists, and, occasionally, difficult-to-see drops where a higher hallway intersects with a lower one without a wall to separate them. The whole place tastes vaguely like blood. Most rooms are here--most people start here.

The Outer Hallways
The outer ring of the ball of yarn. It's not as thick with halls and twists as the other two areas, leading to a lot more boring walking in one direction. It's totally possible to circle around the same path multiple times without realizing it, as everything is so similar here. Occasionally, footsteps can be heard just outside the farthest walls. Sometimes, something breathes. There are a few rooms here--some people will start here.

[Zach has been walking around for what feels like hours. The lack of sleep, the lack of direction, the lack of anything, it makes him dizzy, makes him want to throw up. He hasn't eaten, despite looking at what is inside the backpack slung over one of his shoulders. It's the taste in the air, coppery blood, making his stomach lurch even more.

He turns another corner, having lost count a long time ago, when he sees her. Just a kid, looking around, taking cautious steps. He's never seen her before.]

Hey! Are you - [He almost asked if she was lost. Well, fuck that, they all are lost.] I mean, d'you need help or something?

[titanette]

[After what had happened with Cassel, she'd ran, far and fast. Then she'd realized that she'd forgotten her bag, so she'd had to turn back, searching through the impossibly big and impossibly white space until she'd found her way to it again. It's at that point that Zach finds her now, and she looks back at him, giving him a fearful shake of her head.]

No, don't--

[majorlazer]

[He holds his hands up, taking a step back to show he doesn't mean her any harm. No point in freaking out kids even more, that's not really what Zach is trying to do.]

Hey, it's fine, I don't mean any harm. You okay, kiddo?

[titanette]

It doesn't matter what your eyes are like; I can still hurt you.

[There's anguish in her voice as she scrambles back further.]

[Well, that's kinda alarming.]

Do you want to?

[titanette]

No!

[But also yes. It's all very confusing.]

Just-- don't come any closer, all right?

[majorlazer]

Okay, I won't. I promise.

[Zach keeps his hands up, not wanting to freak her out further.]

Do you wanna tell me what's got you so shaken up?

[titanette]

There's awful things going on. I don't-- I don't know.

[Except she does. And she doesn't, just like she does and doesn't want to hurt him. She knows, she thinks, a lot more than she wants to know.]

[majorlazer]

But none of those awful things are your fault, kiddo. Did someone hurt you?

[titanette]

Nobody hurt me.

[And that's the truth, but...]

But here's something wrong with me.

[majorlazer]

[Zach, still a few steps away from her, crouches, elbows on his knees and his weight on his toes.]

What's wrong with you? I promise, I only want to help.
