[log] Event: Lavender's Green, Part Two [open]

Characters: everyone
Location: mysterious, white hallways
Date: Day 193-194
Summary: Find friends. Get lost. Don't look.
Warnings: Potential for gore and psychological horror. Please note any specific warnings in your subject lines!

While confusingly similar, the area is split into a few different sections:

The Core
The hallways here are narrow and twist at a rapid rate. With how dazzlingly white everything is, it's easy to not realize you're coming on a turn and slam right into the walls. There are no rooms here--no one starts here, though they may find it while they wander. At the center is a large, round area, like the center of a spiral. There's a lot of air pressure here.

The Inner Hallways
The largest area, filled with dead ends, gentle slopes and twists, and, occasionally, difficult-to-see drops where a higher hallway intersects with a lower one without a wall to separate them. The whole place tastes vaguely like blood. Most rooms are here--most people start here.

The Outer Hallways
The outer ring of the ball of yarn. It's not as thick with halls and twists as the other two areas, leading to a lot more boring walking in one direction. It's totally possible to circle around the same path multiple times without realizing it, as everything is so similar here. Occasionally, footsteps can be heard just outside the farthest walls. Sometimes, something breathes. There are a few rooms here--some people will start here.

Remember to note what kind of eyes your character has in their top level!

[ Oddly enough, the glow coming from the mask helps Sylar settle, as he'd been about ready to run from this odd stranger. He's not sure what to expect in terms of outside threats, but he's trying to be ready for them. The shrug makes Sylar smirk, even if he's not really feeling it. ]

Good enough.

[ He's not really feeling like being alone, either, so he doesn't move from his spot quite yet. ]

I don't suppose you know the way out of here?

*He shakes his head, then pauses for a moment before shaking it again. He's not sure there is a way out.*

Great. [ He figured as much, but this seems as good a time for sarcasm as any. ]

Well- I was trying to find my way to the outer section, but that didn't work out. You want to look for the center? Maybe this is the Spiral we kept hearing about.

[ He pulls his backpack off and unzips it, reaching in for a ration bar. Wetting his finger down and squishing it in, he pulls it out and marks the spot he hit with a little 'x' of whatever 'food' they'd been given here. The way he was wandering was clearly not enough to keep track of things. ]

*He had just been wandering and assuming he'd end up where he needed to be (that how things worked for him alot), but a goal isn't a bad idea. The spiral, whatever it really was, was probably still important here.

He nods.*

Okay. In that case- [ He points back the way he came. ] I'm guessing that's the way to go. Just a hunch.

[ He tugs his backpack back on, and starts walking that way, but stops and looks back at this hoodie/mask-guy. ]

I'm guessing you don't talk. So if you see anything important or want to go a different way, tap my shoulder. All right?

I am so sorry, i never got this notif!

*He cants his head, unsure why his companion chose this way, but follows after a moment.

He nods, once to the 'don't talk' statement and once to the question.*
termineur: (Considering)

No problem! Happens to everyone. :)

[ That hallway didn't yield anything new, and neither did the next one. Sylar moved slowly, and therefore the amount of bumps or falls was low, with him. He was sure they were going in as straight a line as he could manage, but then he saw a little food X on the wall, and he stopped with a heavy groan. ]

At least I know we're going around in a circle now, I guess.

*He takes a few moments to examine the marking. It certainly seemed like the ones his companion was making... While it was possible that someone else was using the same method, the halls in this place circling around seemed more likely. Or time and space being messed with.

He turns to Sylar and cants his head. Now what?*

[ Sylar raises an eyebrow at Brian, imagining him saying something far more cutting than 'now what?' ]

Let's go again, and we'll take the next branch off we see.

[ Except there's not a food mark at the next set of branching pathways. Instead, there's a small, deliberate-looking smudge of blood. Sylar stares at it as if it's offended his mother. ]

All right, you choose the direction now. This isn't working out for me.

[ He won't waste time with the food marks in the future. ]

*He considers for a few moments then points back the way they came. Might be a good idea to see if that remains the same.*
