[log] Event: Lavender's Green, Part Two [open]

Characters: everyone
Location: mysterious, white hallways
Date: Day 193-194
Summary: Find friends. Get lost. Don't look.
Warnings: Potential for gore and psychological horror. Please note any specific warnings in your subject lines!

While confusingly similar, the area is split into a few different sections:

The Core
The hallways here are narrow and twist at a rapid rate. With how dazzlingly white everything is, it's easy to not realize you're coming on a turn and slam right into the walls. There are no rooms here--no one starts here, though they may find it while they wander. At the center is a large, round area, like the center of a spiral. There's a lot of air pressure here.

The Inner Hallways
The largest area, filled with dead ends, gentle slopes and twists, and, occasionally, difficult-to-see drops where a higher hallway intersects with a lower one without a wall to separate them. The whole place tastes vaguely like blood. Most rooms are here--most people start here.

The Outer Hallways
The outer ring of the ball of yarn. It's not as thick with halls and twists as the other two areas, leading to a lot more boring walking in one direction. It's totally possible to circle around the same path multiple times without realizing it, as everything is so similar here. Occasionally, footsteps can be heard just outside the farthest walls. Sometimes, something breathes. There are a few rooms here--some people will start here.

Remember to note what kind of eyes your character has in their top level!

Some of us have been underground before, it didn't look anything like this.

[Though perhaps this is a different part of the same facility.]

Maybe we should be looking for entrances in the ceiling?

Why not? This is as good a place to start as any.

[He pushes himself up to his feet, leaning against the wall for support.]

We might be able to see better if one stands on the other's shoulders.

[He raises an eyebrow.]

I kind of thought it would be the other way around, but I can definitely try.

Great! Loop your fingers into a foothold, and I'll try and get on your shoulders.

[He's pretty happy to have something to do too.

Assuming Anderson does this, Al will try and pull himself up onto the smaller kid's shoulders. Considering he weighs almost nothing, less than even an average ten year old should weigh, he shouldn't be too hard to hold up.]

Whoa-- It's kind of hard to keep my balance up here.

[He does his best to reach up to the ceiling, but this body has literally no strength or dexterity left to it any more. He sways uneasily once he's fully stretched up, fingers brushing the ceiling.]

I can just abo-- ah-- AH!

[Oh dear.

He can feel himself going over and there's nothing he can do about it.]

[Al hits the ground hard and feels the jolt all the way through his bones, air knocked clean from his lungs. He's lucky that he doesn't break any of his bones for how brittle they are at the moment, but it does hurt enough that he stays flat on his back.]

...ow.

[OW.]

Maybe that wasn't such a good idea after all.

[He wheezes out a pained exhale, before pushing himself up to his feet. He sways slightly, and there's already a bruise forming along his spine, but he looks determined.]

No way. We're trying again, this time I'll hold you.

[Because that will work so much better.]
