[It's almost midnight when House's message goes out. He sounds honestly terrified. His hands are shaking too much to type, and he's too frantic to think of voice-to-text. There's also the music. He can hear it. He can't tell where it's coming from, but it's there and it's fading in and out with the static and a whisper that he can just make out.

It would probably be better to see to his wounds first, but that's secondary at the moment.]

The music. Who's hearing the music and the static? Have anyone's eyes changed? Who can hear it?

[He sings the first few lines.]

It's Andromeda's song for Winter. It's the song in the apartment with the knives. The Jedi heard it, too. His eyes or his hand set it off.

[House thinks so, too. But the conviction in that reply needs an explanation.]

You're deaf in one ear. [He'd noticed it before when he'd met the guy, but it hadn't registered as particularly relevant.]

[A pause. So people were noticing, then. At least House was a more obnoxiously observant type, but still. Damn it all.]

[Definitely in their heads, then. That's useful, if still incredibly unsettling.]

Write down everything you hear and how long each noise lasts for. We need to compare notes to see if there's a pattern or if it's all individually in our heads, rather than a collective soundtrack.

[The subtle subject change is enough to make him switch right back to audio. Unlike the confirmation he just spat out at House, this he has no problem with Frisk overhearing.]

And what exactly is that "pattern" going to be good for if we do this?

[He has a basic idea, but it sounds like House's train of thought is dabbling a little deeper than Lutha can manage at the moment.]

An indication of whether someone's tailoring this to each of us or just blasting their stereo to anyone that still has their eyes screwed up.

And that matters because...?

They're obviously getting into our minds, and it's already obvious enough that someone or something can twist enough of this shit individually, given the fucking eyes.

We need to know the extent of the individual tailoring. If we know what they're using as the base point of reference for everyone, we might be able to pinpoint and disrupt it more easily than having a broad 'they can do anything to anyone at any time.'

[This is slowly sounding like a precious waste of time.]

Disrupt it with what, exactly?

Hacking. Another DDOS attack. We need to know what the hell it is before we can develop a counterattack. Don't they teach this in asshole acid snow world?
