[log] House of Cards [closed]
Characters: John Watson, Sherlock Holmes, Sylar, Sheena Fujibayashi, and the Joker
Location: Building 32
Date: Day 187, evening
Summary: Watson and co. find themselves with an unexpected companion for the night.
Warnings: Fighting and injury are very likely.
[The lighting in this building varies--at one point, the windows were painted over with black paint, but a lot of it has been removed. Still, it's darker in here than it is in a lot of buildings. Inside is a kitchen, living room, dining room, two bedrooms, and a bathroom, but it's difficult to search and it would be easy to overlook something dangerous in here. The couch has been damaged significantly; it could still be sat on in a pinch, but the covering and much of the foam have been torn away.]

Nobody hides from the Bat.
He sniffles once in the cold and lets dark thoughts roll through his brain.
Batman must have been driven loony by the town, it's the only explanation. Somehow he still feels like a lesser comedian has stolen his punchline. He needs something grand, something hilarious to get this gag back on track.]
no subject
But there's already someone else there.
He glances over at him and everything screams danger. Unbalanced, criminal, murderer. He must be the Joker, judging from what he's read. So he stops and shuts the door behind him rather decisively, possibly directly into either John, Sheena, or Sylar's nose.]
Good evening, might I suggest you move to one of the other rooms and shut yourself in?
[He smiles, there's no humour behind it.]
no subject
Make me, handsome!
[Maybe he can find some entertainment tonight after all.]
no subject
Sherlock, what the hell are you doing?
no subject
Rubbing her nose, she lifts her goggles to peer incredulously at the door. ]
Did he lock us out?
no subject
Flattered, I'm sure, but I only like a man with a good sense of humour and it seems you've rather lost your knack for comedic timing.
[He slips his hand into his pocket at the same time as he's talking to the Joker, expertly typing a messsge with one hand to send to John.]
Joker here. Position eleven o clock. Be ready with cuffs to charge through door when I give the word. SH
no subject
I dunno. He's...
[His expression goes blank for a second or two.]
Sheena, grab the handcuffs out of the back pocket on my pack and hand them to me, please. The Joker's in there.
no subject
The Joker? Martel...
[ Without hesitating, she's doing as he asks, passing the cuffs to him over his shoulder. She's heard about the Joker, heard and read his own words, so she's not taking any chances. ]
Here. What's the plan?
no subject
Buddy, you're the fella who walked in on me!
[He grips the fireplace poker and stands, swaying slightly as a wave of nausea cascades through him.]
And you have no idea where you are, do you?
no subject
[He keeps talking and moves ever so slightly to the side in a seemingly natural way, but so that he can be out of the way of the door.]
You're ill, weak, and trapped alone in a house with no company. That suggests to me that you have been the punchline of a joke, rather than the instigator. Batman attempted to kill you the other night, didn't he?
[It's a stab in the dark, though an educated one, and it doesn't really matter if it's right or not as it's only intended as a distraction while he sends one more text.]
I am out of the way of the door. Count to four and come in. SH.
no subject
[His green eyes slide towards the door and his grip on the fireplace poker tightens.]
I dunno who you have waiting for you outside, stranger, but they're not your friends, they're not even real!
[He seems to actually believe this.]
no subject
[His response is just to mask his internal counting to four and then, trusting to John to do as he asked, Sherlock launches himself forwards to try and wrest that poker away from him. Shouting triumphantly as he does so:]
And my name... is Sherlock Holmes!
[Let no man accuse him of not enjoying a bit of dramatic flair.]
no subject
[John twists the handle and shoves the door open. In the dimness, he takes in the two tall figures fighting over something. The Joker's giant hat makes him easy to distinguish. Well, that or the green hair if the hat is off. The doctor darts to the side and around, if he can, trying to get behind and grab Joker around the beck from there. If that's not possible, he'll slap one of the cuffs onto his own wrist, get as close as he can and try to slap the other cuff around the Joker's wrist so that he can jerk and dislodge the Joker's grip.]
Sheena, left! Sylar, right! Close in!
[Short, clipped commands so they can surround the man.]
no subject
He'd been interested in the Joker since he got here. He's heard so many things about him. At the very least, this ought to liven up the night. ]
no subject
And suppresses a shudder at the aura of malice she feels emanating from him, filling her with dread. ]
Sorry, I lost the Notif for this!
When Watson approaches he pulls away slightly but makes no further attempt to get away from the angry mob.]
You people are becoming a real thorn in my hiney, you know that.
Worse than a thorn.
You folks are everywhere. All the time.
Like cancer.
no worries!
Cancer. Destructive and unwanted, extremely unfunny, I rather think that more describes you.
no subject
Keeps coming back, too. Definitely a cancer.
