These kind of things don't get sent without someone behind a keyboard or something. If you're doing this as a joke, it's not funny.

Food, water, and central heating will, among other things, go much further toward stabilizing our "conditions" than mysterious injections full of heaven knows what.

I do not appreciate being given such injections without my consent being given on the matter. Besides, what do you mean 'our conditions had become unstable'? In what way? How do you know it was even safe to administer those injections to all of us? Some of us may have adverse reactions to whatever was in them.

He's aware the nausea has passed, but the prickling, alien paranoia and unease has not left him, and he has no idea it's not the effects from before - he's suffering from cabin fever, after remaining in the house he woke up in for two days.]

I might. It's not exactly her style, but I know a woman who fancies herself the savior of humanity. I don't recognize any of this technology, but maybe she found someone who could make it.

The only problem is if it really is her, there should be more people here I recognize.

I've never heard of such a thing, but if she's successfully obtained a Philosopher's Stone, it's possible.

She has already lived for hundreds of years using one that's nearly used up.

What are these stones, exactly?

A powerful, powerful object. It's red like blood, looks kind of like a crystal. You can do almost anything with it. Live forever, level entire cities, create things impossible with normal alchemy; the list is impressive.

[They're also made of human souls, but he's intentionally leaving out that bit of information.]

Where did they come from, if you know? It sounds similar to something from home that nobody on Earth is ever meant to possess, save appearance.

A gifted alchemist can create them. The process is a little involved, though.

If they are man-made, they can't be what I'm thinking of.

It's impossible to tell.

There could be a lab somewhere, possibly underground. If it exists, it's probably abandoned now, but I'd be able to recognize the technology if it exists.

[Enoch pushes aside that little hint of "what if he's just covering for his own involvement?" and tries to get some more information to quell it. That paranoia hasn't gone away and he knows it's not him.]

Could you describe it to me, by any chance?

The lab? Or the object she uses?

The lab. I may not be able to follow all of them, but if there is any chance someone else may find it first, it would be helpful to know what we're searching for.

[He doesn't give away he's still somewhat unclear on what he's searching for here. He doesn't want to be taken advantage of, if not by him, then by someone...]

Well, let's see.

[There's a pause as he puts his thoughts together.]

You'd see a lot of vats. They'd be empty, probably, though if they're full, they'd be full of a sickly red liquid. It glows; if you were to try and take some out of one of the vats, it would coalesce into a somewhat solid form. Not quite a liquid, but not exactly a solid.

You might also find strange, elaborate markings on the floor in chalk or maybe soot or something.

I don't care about any of that, though. I just care about knowing about whether or not the lab exists at all, because if it does, she's behind it.
