@dulcedeleche
Winter? It's John here. I'm not sure if you'll get this, but I have to try. We haven't contacted you since you lost contact with us and shut down. I think there might have been something hacking your system. Maybe it was the same thing that hacked us two nights ago.
That eye symbol and the Prophet that people told you about last time? It appeared again. We're currently exploring an apartment complex that seems to be filled with that eye symbol. We've been tasked with a puzzle, looking for ragdolls with that symbol on their faces to find what I presume is a key to get to the next area.
Two days ago was Day 180 since the first people arrived in Norfinbury. Everyone's eyes suddenly changed. They were either like that Prophet eye symbol or they were glowing. A little while before that, there was strange static that covered the whole town, made it seem like we were alone. In the middle of that, the eye symbols started appearing everywhere. We were forced to make a choice before it ended: draw more of the symbols on ourselves or mark them out on the walls. I chose to draw symbols and my eyes changed to look like the Prophet eye symbol. I'm not sure if that was universal. For the people who weren't here before, I'm not sure how they were assigned. Perhaps by whether the system thinks they would have drawn or marked out eyes?
Regardless, in the morning on Day 180, I went very suddenly blind for about 10 minutes. That's when my eyes changed. I could see perfectly well with them after that, even though it shouldn't have been possible. In the afternoon, the rest of my group experienced shooting pains in their stomachs. Then their eyes started to glow. Night came along with the standard lockdown. But that's when everything else changed. The doors unlocked and time in the world just seemed to stop. It wasn't cold, the snow was frozen in the air. And those of us with the Prophet eyes had a sudden and nearly irresistible desire to hunt down and murder everyone with glowing eyes.
I can only speak for myself on what was going through my head, but there was a thought that everyone with glowing eyes was trying to destroy Norfinbury. They were sinners and heretics who needed to be killed to protect the town. I was able to resist the urges early in the night and managed to handcuff myself so I couldn't hurt anyone. Not everyone was so lucky.
When it was getting close to morning, I felt a pinch in my arm like I usually do when the Admin gives us NIMA booster shots. I fell asleep and when I woke up, the urges were gone, my eyes were back to normal, and everything had reset. All of the people who were killed that night are alive again like it didn't even happen.
I don't know if whatever was hurting us might have destroyed you, but if you are still here, I wanted you to know so we don't have to explain it all to you next time you're able to speak to us. I hope you're all right, Winter. Please talk to us when you can.

winter: they're hunting us. this cult.
andromeda: they don't know what they're doing. it's not their fault. i can fix it.
winter: so you say.
andromeda: don't be like that.
(bunch of crowd noises in the background that sound hella pissed about robo chicks)
winter: (robo swear) let's go.
andromeda gave me the card when i asked her about all this
i told her what happened to you btw

fair point
our situation is kind of screwed already right
brian and england got me thinking we need to figure out when on the timeline this cult stuff happened anyway
if it was before or after her backup was made
because if this went wrong and andromeda couldnt fix it it might be what caused her death
anyway winter theres food for thought

Maybe the Prophet was the more radical fringe of that with the not wanting a babysitter thing?

hard to tell
and i dunno how much to blame on the prophet versus her fan club
not unthinkable that a group already opposed to the admin thing would be angry about fancy ais too
if winter doesnt answer though im betting that well find more info the further east people get

[Which is a little horrifying.]
Anyway, we'll see what Winter has to say about all this next time she's able to access the network.
