Two days ago, I think. Yeah - one-seventy. The morning.

How did you die? When did you die? Why did you die? Where are you? What did you lose?

[John sighs to himself.]

It was an anomaly. I died about four days ago. The anomaly was quick and virtually silent. [And it looked like Fiona. He doesn't answer the question about what he lost.]

When did you come back?

[She had no idea that he was dead. She's reeling from that -- he was dead and she did not even know.]

Couple of two days ago. [Technically three. He's trying to forget about being trapped in his body bag for a very, very long night.]

[ Steph has to stop when she sees the announcement. She doesn't even think about it - her legs just stop moving. She stands there for a moment, one hand over her mouth, just staring. Then she curls up into a ball, lets the tablet slide to the ground, covers her head with both hands and cries. ]

[Zach stops moving as soon as Steph does, but he doesn't have his tablet out, can only just see her face fall, her whole body collapse in on itself as she crumples to the ground.

In a second he's by her side, wrapping an arm around her shoulder as she shakes with tears, holding her close. He grabs her tablet, looking down at the screen, and his stomach drops.]

Oh, no...

[His voice breaks as he squeezes Steph closer, shivering as the cold reaches through his stiff jeans.]

Baby, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.

[ She unwraps herself enough to fling her arms around Zach and sob into his shirt. Angel has died before, but that only makes it worse. There's less chance she'll come back this time. And why didn't she know? Why does she have to hear it from the Admin? ]

[Zach just holds her tighter, resting his cheek on the top of her head as he looks at Kesara for a moment, giving her a sad look.

He wants to say, maybe Angel will come back, maybe everything will be fine, but he knows that nothing he could say would help. Right now, the best he can do is be a physical comfort to Steph.

Unfortunately, they have to keep moving. They can't linger too long.]

...Do you want me to carry you for a bit?

[He won't be able to do it for long, but he still asks, voice as soft as he can make it. He doesn't want to force her to walk if she can't.]

[ She doesn't answer for a moment, just takes long, slow, steadying breaths. Then she shakes her head.

They have to keep moving. She has to keep moving. There's work to be done, and she can't stop to grieve until they're all safe.

She lets go of him to drag herself to her feet. ]

I can do this.

[ She's trying to convince herself more than him. ]

[Getting himself up, Zach nods, but still takes her hand in his own. With his other one, he holds her tablet out for her.]
