[network] @jwatson; Bloody Mess [voice] [Morning 172]
[John's voice is significantly less nasally and pained that it has been in recent days when he's gotten on the audio for network communications. It's a miracle healing for his broken nose! He's going to gloss over that unless someone asks directly, though. The doctor has taken note that the Obituaries have been delayed from their usual pattern... not that he's complaining. It means fewer people to fuss.]
Hullo everyone. This is Dr. John Watson. I have some additional information about the blood transfusions I mentioned in one of my last messages. First and foremost, you can request your blood-type from the Admin. If you're comfortable sharing that with me publicly or privately, I can start putting together a database to match up potential donors and recipients if and when we can find the full equipment we need for transfusions. Please remember that transfusions are an untested treatment for MN Poisoning. There's no guaranteeing that it'll work, so you're welcome to wait on that.
The other piece of news is positive, but... [There's some hesitance as he trails off.] It may also be somewhat distressing. For at least one of the non-humans here, when asked for their blood type from the Admin, she responded with a human blood type that had an 'adjusted' notation next to the type. I believe the transition to Norfinbury and the presence of the nanomachines in our systems is the reason for the alteration. I'm honestly not sure of the implications of this for beyond Norfinbury, but before anyone panic, please remember that you are fine at the moment, and you'll very likely be fine moving forward. In so much as any of us are fine.

@Griever; voice;
I actually wonder if nanomachines just recognize the standard humans they were supposed to work with and try to change nonhumn creatures to match as much as they can the original schemes.

And that would make sense about the nanomachines, yeah. I'd like to know how that maps to people like Dug. He's a dog, so that'd be a hell of a shift for him.

My name is Dug.

Hi, Dug. We were talking about you just there. [And over with Stein. Leon is nicer, though.] Would you be willing to ask the Admin what blood type you have or give me permission to ask her about you?
@Griever; voice;
I'm more curious about eventual... not organic creatures like Alphonse. I can understand mapping a living creature checking for vital organs and adapting the blood since that seems their way to move inside the body, but how do you change a completely inorganic entity?
[And then the dog appeares. Leon raises an eyebrows looking at it but it's not the first talking dog he ever met so he's not going to question the 'talking animal' bit too much.]
Hello Dug.

[Dug is immediately lost again. Blood type? In-or-gan-ick? He succumbs to confusion, only breaking in again to give an answer he thinks is wanted.]
Yes. Definitely that, yes.

We will like you anyway, Dug. [He says trying to sound like he's just being condescending with the animal.]
Anyway, my question is mostly... how can you turn an inorganic thing into an organic one basically creating life? And I'm looking at your discussion up there with Frisk... I understand why you don't want to use poisoned blood for transfusion but I wonder if the blood of a sane donor would be helpful to mitigate the symptoms of MN poisoning on a subject that is already effected.
It may be useless but wouldn't it be worth trying?
Edit: I messed up, I thought Luna was the one still keeping her non-organic body a secret while Alphonse being the one who said it while it's the contrary. I have *no idea* why I was so sure about that but I apologize for the mistake, please pretend Leon said Luna's name instead of Alphonse's.

I don't think you need to be organic to be alive. Look at someone like Winter and her definition of being alive and being dead. She didn't need an organic body to be alive. It's a matter of transferring someone's consciousness from one vessel to another. Frankly, it's a bloody terrifying thought, but I can see how it could be done. In a... weird... sci-fi way.
As for the blood transfusions, that's what I'm proposing to try. People who aren't displaying MN Poisoning symptoms can donate to those who are displaying MN Poisoning symptoms. Ideally, that would alleviate the symptoms for the people receiving the donation.

[Just...continuing to crash this conversation with no idea what they're actually talking about.]
If I find you, will you throw the ball for me?

[He puts in the question to the Admin and gets a reply back almost immediately. Well, that's interesting.]
And you've got the blood type I'd expect for a dog, Dug. That's, uh... good. [At least it means he isn't being turned... into a human? Or that there really are biological differences between them, so at least not all of their bodies are fake. Or if they are, they're fake to mimic what they should be.]

[And while in his world it's possible to enter universes completely composed of data... Leon never questioned it, it was just something Sora can do because the Keyblade is magic, at least from his experience.
He pauses for a moment, allowing Jhon and the dog to chat together, raising then an eyebrow at the man's comment about Dug's blood type. So... dogs have different blood? He had no idea.]

I think it's still comprehensible, and I don't think there's magic or some sort of other worldly being at work here... not yet, but that doesn't make it any less frightening. I think I'll feel better once we can actually sort out what it is here pulling levers apart from Eve and Mr. Miller. They're bad enough on their own.

I agree on that, it's just hard, sometimes, to accept that non magical creatures can have so much power. [Because, seriously, what does it mean for worlds with actual magic in them? What if the scientist is also a magician of sort? This definitely offers him an even darker scenario than he imagined for his universe since Ansem- or whoever Sora fought- was also like that. The man sighs, shaking his head.]
Whatever, speculating randomly like this will bring us nowhere. What do you still need for transfusions? I can look around and see if I can find anything useful.
