Good morning, everyone. I told a number of people I would share the results of my conversation with the Admin, Eve, regarding her ability to correct 'mental imbalances' that might lead to violent impulses. I thought it best to provide what information I got from her with the whole group.

The upshot of that:

Eve can 'fine tune' the nanites in our brains for a particular purpose. This will have no effect on MN poisoning symptoms except to make people not care about them.
Use of the treatment requires patient consent. That's non-negotiable given the requirements for a declaration of mental incompetency under the NIMA system.
While the fine tuning is considered an ethical treatment in extreme cases of violent psychopathy, it is considered unethical to try to treat MN Poisoning.
We may be able to alleviate some of the worst instances of MN Poisoning with blood transfusions. I'm presently looking for the equipment I'd need to do that.
Eve was born in Washington D.C. and used to work for the U.S. government.

As an additional note on medical supplies: I've informed the other doctors, but for those newly arrived and those seeking medical assistance, we are beginning to run low on certain medication types.

The relative medical stocks stand as such:

Low-grade Painkillers: Low
Mid-grade Painkillers: Acceptable, restock requested
High-grade Painkillers: Acceptable
Specialized Medication: Acceptable
Radiation Medication: Critically low

I've also been previously informed that the emergency medical response injections are out and will take 200 days to restock. That was at a point that would put us past the projected end of this session... or whatever we're calling out time here.

If anything, I'm saying the opposite. It could be what's messing with us. Things like the static, the eyes that happened a few days ago. Maybe even the anomalies.

I'm also saying I don't trust Eve. There's already evidence that this sort of modification has been made without our consent. Miller's a programmer, isn't he?

[She was referring more to being pleased that someone else put the two and two together that Robert's adjustments during the game was likely using NIMA to affect their perceptions but, whatever. He can feel free to assume she's behind the game. She'll just need to correct that impression.]

Oh, there's already been evidence of that too. As I'm sure anyone with anomalies and abilities normal humans wouldn't have could tell you.

That being said, I wouldn't rush to blame Eve and Miller for every strange thing that goes on here.

Well, no. There's something else here, too. I think people are calling it the Norfinbury Entity or something? Whatever it is, it can probably do the same stuff Eve and Miller can. Hell, even Winter can alter our brains. She's done it before.

Which means we're already kinda at the mercy of a bunch of shit. [And he doesn't like it.] I guess the only comfort we have is that they haven't turned us all into mindless zombies yet.

Yeah, the entity is what I was considering too. You wouldn't happen to know anything about it, would you? My information's been kinda sparse.

That being said, that's why I want to find out what NIMA is capable of in regards to mental control. What sorts of rules and limitations our hosts are working with.

It'd help a lot to know what they actually want, too.

We already know they have made adjustments to us. I don't think that's in dispute. Winter said in one of her messages that just by being 'citizens' in Norfinbury, we've given our consent for the Admin to do what she wants to us.

I think it makes sense that whatever is in the system is messing with us through the nanomachines, though, yeah. That makes sense. I think a few people have put that idea out.

I'm still trying to figure out how that helps us, though. We can't actually do anything with the nanomachines, ourselves.

Because knowing the exact extent of what NIMA can effect,we can make better judgement calls on how we may be actually being affected.

Also , if what you're saying is true, and we've already given Eve our consent, then what makes a difference now? What makes Robert Miller's adjustments during the repairs acceptable, but this not be? If she is following a strict set of rules, we need to know what those are. It's dangerous for them to be hidden.

Phi, I'm pretty sure they can reprogram us to do or see or feel just about anything they want. Winter told someone that in one of her earliest messages. I'd have to go look for it, but she said they could rewrite whole personalities and the like. She started glitching when people were asking her about that more recently. I think that's telling.

I'd love to get a full set of her protocols and rules. If you can wrangle that our of her, please do go for it. I haven't been able to get much.

She doesn't like the idea he's presenting. The idea that there's literally nothing about her own head, about her memories or thoughts or experiences or behavior that is safe from the control of their hosts is terrifying. So rather than get scared, she gets mad. Anger is more productive anyway.]

It's human nature to exaggerate the threat of the unknown.

That only works if you completely trust Winter at her word. [Which Phi doesn't.] If her Chinese room analogy is correct she may not even understand what she's telling us, let alone if it's actually correct or not.

I think we're all headed to Town Hall. Problem is, it's going to take a while to get there. I can assure you, though, I'm not exaggerating. In the two months I've been here, I've seen and experienced impossible things. Impossible, unless someone is manipulating our minds. I don't mean to scare you, but it's something we all need to come to grips with if we're going to figure out what to do about it.

We can't stop it at this point, so how do we endure it?
