Gather information to protect myself, mainly. I don't plan on hurting anyone, if that's what you're thinking. I just want to know who to avoid.

why do you think i would hurt him? do you care for him?

[He might be in the guide, like the Joker. But he's got people who care for him? And at least she's saying he doesn't want to hurt anyone now.]

thank you for telling me - i'll be careful if i encounter him, but i don't plan on hurting anyone. I only want to help.

he hurt my friend.

[She doesn't know if she still cares for him. It's complicated.]

I do not think he will choose to hurt anyone again, but I think it is not always a choice and it is not as hard of a choice when he is not being hurt

so if he's hurt he'll hurt back? do you think he'd only hurt someone who hurts him? does that mean Watson hurt him?

Doctor Watson did not hurt him

you should not go near him

[It is not exactly a secret -- what was said on the network is not private. If this person reads the whole story, maybe she will be smart enough to stay away. It doesn't take much time at all to find the post, relatively recent as it is.]

[Claire takes her time reading through the post, mainly the parts where John is involved. Hm. Seems like he tried to keep an eye on Bucky himself, even after getting injured by him. Noble, self-sacrificing. Mildly unhealthy.]

thank you. By the way, what's your name? I'm Claire.

Oh, okay. Most people don't use their real names as their username, so I couldn't be sure.

Thank you for the warnings and information, Ecks. I promise I'll be careful, whatever happens, and if you ever need help, feel free to ask.

teddy bears, like plushies? um, stuffed toys, they look like little bears, with beaded plastic eyes, sometimes they're even wearing clothes?

taxidermy is like, stuffing dead animals with straw to preserve them. They're not as cuddly, usually.

teddy bears are the kind I like
but most of my animals are not bears
and none of them wear clothes

taxidermy sounds like a wasteful practice

taxidermy is a strange things. In my world, most people who do it are hunters that like to keep a memento of animals they've killed. It's not often well-viewed.

I'll keep an eye out for any stuffed toys for you, then. How many do you have?

I have four
and also two that are not soft

beats me. I have no idea. I think they just like being reminded that they managed to kill whatever it is they're stuffing.

nice collection! In my world, people hold on to them at night, to chase bad dreams.
