I wouldn't expect any idiot to understand.
[Is he calling Sora an idiot? Kind of.]

Most children have. It's what adults call an overactive imagination.

Sora abruptly switches to video and he levels his device with a sharp glare though when he speaks he manages to keep his tone even; manages to keep himself from yelling.]
None of it was my imagination. None of the worlds I saw get destroyed were. None of the people I saw get consumed by monsters and turned into creatures just like the ones that killed them were. Yeah, I'm a kid but I've been through just as much as everyone else here and I've dealt with my fair share of messed up things. I've been fighting since I was twelve years old to protect the worlds from being wiped out and I will not let some jerk insult what I know and what I've done! Just because it sounds crazy to you doesn't mean it's not real--this place is full of people from all different worlds and dimensions and you just have to accept that you aren't going to understand all of it. You can write someone off as a child or an idiot just because you don't understand the rules of different universes and worlds.
[Way to go Sherlock.]

Very well, prove it.
[He still thinks this is the delusions of a sick mind, but the combat experience gives him pause and piques his interest. So he'll give Sora a chance to provide scientific evidence.]
no subject
[Cue him ducking slightly to grab something out of view only to straighten up and hold up his makeshift keyblade that's been constructed out of rubble and various items he's found.]
I just have this and I haven't been able to try it against an anomaly yet. So how do you want me to prove it to you?
no subject
You are asking me to believe something, the onus is on you to provide the proof. Your lack of evidence is not my problem.
no subject
Everyone here is going to ask you to believe something you don't understand. This entire place is full of things we don't understand. You may be smart but you're not going to have all the answers here.
[Sora can feel himself getting more and more angry and he finally just shakes his head.]
Even if I manage to prove it to you, you'll still question it just like everyone else. So forget it. I don't have time to waste proving things to you that I know are true. I have supplies to move.
no subject
[Anyone without proof to offer, without evidence, will always back down. It helps them not have to face their own delusions.]
no subject
[And with that, Sora outright beams, winking at the other.]
Good luck trying to wrap your head around some of the things you'll hear, since you need so much proof. Who knows, you might be a cartoon character in someone else's world!
no subject
A character in a Victorian novel, apparently. The greatest detective the world has ever seen.
no subject
[And now he's going to be a little shit.]
I bet anyone that's read them could pretty much guess everything you're going to do, huh?

We're not from out a book or fictional, Sora. I think we'd both really appreciate it if you didn't insinuate as much.

[The cheery tone disappears as he frowns.]
If he's going to say everything I know is just because of an overactive imagination, then I'm going to call you guys book characters. I don't appreciate having my life called imaginary just because he doesn't understand it.
no subject
I'm sorry he's being a dick to you. He's just arrived and he's wounded. Don't engage with him and give it a few days for him to get sorted out what's really what.
-> Private to John
I didn't mean to take it that far.
[Sora visibly deflates.]
I'll stop messing with him. I just got mad when he implied I was making everything up.
Private
Please, if he gets to be like this again just call me. I'll sort him out... or at least get him to lay off of you.
Private
...I hope he's got you with him if that happens, sir. So it's not quite as bad for him.
And I will. I promise.
Private
Thank you, Sora. I know he's difficult. For what it's worth, I believe you about your world, and I'm very sorry you've had to go through all of that.
