Vigilantes? One of the guys that goes around calling themselves Bat Man or Super Man or whatever?

[ At least he's guessing from how Stephanie seemed to take him in as he noses around a bit. You know, those guys that go around being all heroic and saving people's lives. ]

I dunno. It just seems like it's becoming a trend here lately. Maybe I should pick up a name, myself.

[ He won't, but now he has to wonder what it would be if he ever did... ]

[ Matt's just so chill about it, it's like they're in some cool club. ]

You could, technically. All it takes is a costume or a mask and the right attitude. That attitude being, saving people before yourself and foregoing personal glory for doing what you think is the right thing.

[ That's how it starts, anyway... ]

Foregoing personal glory and doing the right thing, huh... I guess I could if I really wanted to, but eh. I'm pretty sure if I dressed the part, I'd never hear the end of it from my friends around here.

[ He still feels he would absolutely and totally come up with the coolest name though, alright! But that's an argument for another day... ]

So, Dare Devil... Why that name? Is it because you can't... see or something? [ Hey, it would be accurate... He's not sure how he would'a been able to continue as a SOLDIER if something had rendered him blind permanently. He remembers how helpless the others had been around here before, too. But he's taking it so casually. Used to it. ]

Not exactly. Mostly it's because I do things a lot of people would be afraid to. When you can't see, there's no real reason to be afraid of heights or that kind of thing. [ You know. It's nbd. ] They sometimes call me the Man Without Fear.

Well, that and my old costume had horns on it and everything.

[ Well, when he thinks about it, guess it's not much different from back home. At least before everything went to hell, Sephiroth and Genesis... They had sure had interesting tastes in uniform, but they'd both made it work in their own ways.

But he lets that go in favor of listening in the end. Listening and... humming thoughtfully at that. ]

Well... I guess when you put it that way, it makes.. some sense? But still- you might not be afraid of heights, but what if you can't see the fall, you know? I imagine it's pretty hard to judge distance and whatever. How do you get around that?

[ And well... everything. Not that he's trying to be rude about this, but... Just imagining doing parkour alone on a moving train blind seems just a little bit crazy./small> ]

I just trust my instincts and go with it. I'm fit enough and well-trained enough that I know how to land.
