Trust me, you're going to get sick of the ration bars fast. It's worse than hardtack.

Southwest of the store there's an inn with a fireplace, but no wood; if you want to get warm, bring something else to burn. West of the store, there's a post office. Heading through that takes you out to the ice tunnels, but it's a dangerous passage.

The post office leads to the ice tunnels, and that leads to the rest of town. The area you're in with all the shops is snow walls on three sides; you have to leave it to get to anything else.
