[log] The Hills Have Eyes [closed-ish]
Characters: Watson, Charles, Davesprite, Bucky, Zell, Sora, Kunsel, Homura, and Quark
Location Building 235 (Aquarium) and Building 130 (Pharmacy)
Date: Day 162 - 164
Summary: Eyes appear all around, static and paranoia return, friends arrive with fire, hopefully no one is getting attacked. Later, Bucky, Quark, and John discover evidence of Fiona's murder.
Warnings: References to character death.
[The aquarium has the feel of a small-town tourist attraction, the sort built to give people just stopping to fuel up on petrol a reason to stay for an hour or two. There are various aquariums inside that, according to plaques beside them, once showcased various Alaskan fish; they're empty now. The whole atmosphere is kind of eerie, with the water casting rippling patterns on the walls, ceilings, and floors, but there's hot water in the sinks for anyone who wants it.
What's probably unwanted by everyone is the eyes. They're on the walls, drawn in the frost on the windows, they're on the ceilings, and the static crawls its way over walls and people. The sense of being watched, of being followed, is strong.]

He glances around when the other gestures and let's out a sigh, shoulders slumping a bit as everything shifts about through the static--
And those eyes.]
I really wish it would stop. The screaming, too. I think it's one of the worst things I've experienced here yet.

..I hope it doesn't happen to you again.
[Man does he wish he could do more in this place.
Sora sighs softly.]
It would be a lot easier to deal with if we had more answers about this place. Even back home, when things got really weird, we could still figure things out.

[In the next moment he takes his tablet out again, and the purpose becomes clear enough once he has the notepad app to draw in. It takes longer than waiting for speech, but if Sora will give him the moment, he's soon got a couple quick doodles.]
[First is probably opaque as hell: it's him with a giant word bubble (full of filler scribbles instead of actual words) next to what looks rather like a checkerboard if checkerboards were circles, and if that circle were surrounded by a ring of tangled squiggles. Then he motions out around them, to the building, the place in general, and jots some question marks down.]
[He could tell him miles about the place he was last, but for this place he's only got questions, is what he means. But good luck making sense of it, Sora.]

Or does he mean that he's tried to literally ask the admin questions?]
So this place..really confuses you too?
[Is he right about that? Is he?]
Or did you try asking the admin questions and not get any answers before?

no subject
...Oh. Oh you mean this places really confuses you, don't you?

[Sora makes an exploding gesture with his hands.]
It all goes haywire.

[Hell, he could probably explain how it's hindered him without too much trouble. He fishes his tablet out of a pocket, then floats over nearer to Sora to show him. He pulls up House's map. They're at the aquarium, right? He points to himself, then draws his finger from the aquarium's rectangle on up to the large square of the hospital. That's where he wanted to go. But then he points back at the blobs of static fuzzing around, to himself, and then plants his finger unmoving on the aquarium's marker. He wanted to head north today, but like hell he's going out in this mess.]

[Which wouldn't be so bad it his entire body didn't constantly ache but it is what it is.
Looking curiously at the other's tablet when Davesprite floats closer, Sora let's out a thoughtful sound and crosses his arms.]
I was planning on heading up there too. It's been a real pain to travel lately--more than usual. I keep getting the feeling I'm going in circles.
[His gaze shifts from the tablet to Davesprite.]
If things are better tomorrow, we could head that way together. It..might be safer to travel together for right now, you know?
no subject
[He nods decisively. He points to Sora, points to himself, then retraces that path north. They'll go together, sure.]
no subject
And then the other agrees and he lets out a breath, offering the bird boy a slight smile.]
Great! We can head out in the morning-- [He hesitates a second.] ..before everyone else. Just to avoid any issues?
no subject
Let alone the last leg of the event—the passing out, and the weird morning paralysis until things fade back to normal. But sleep or no, he'd rather be out and moving than left lingering here any longer.][He gestures at the map again, showing a path on up toward the school. He needs to restock on food, to say nothing of other goals. Then he chirps and points at Sora. Where does he want to go?]
no subject
Considering what's going to happen? He's definitely not getting any sleep.]I've been moving between here and the school for the past couple of weeks moving supplies around. So I was going to head up there to restock everything before making my way South again!
