[The video opens with Hange's face: dirty (though that's not anything unusual) and a little scraped up from a few days ago. But all in all, they seem to be in good spirits. There's an almost feverish light in those eyes.]

Hello Norfinbury! I already agreed to share any findings with Natasha, but this seemed important enough to share with the whole town instead.

[The camera turns to face a wall- a wall covered in black paint eyes- but is then suddenly jerked back around.]

Oh, for those of you who I haven't met yet, I'm Squad Leader Hange Zoe, and this- [more motion-sickness-inducing camera movement-] is Captain Levi. [The man in question looks perhaps even a little more displeased than he usually does, but he's only on screen for a second before the feed goes back to Hange.] He's upset right now because he couldn't clean the bathtub.

[And with that cryptic statement, the camera finally settles onto the walls again. Hange slowly pans across, then shows off the ceiling, floor, and other surfaces of the room. They're all equally covered with those messily-painted eyes.]

I've heard that these have been seen in other parts of the town as well, but they seem to be fairly concentrated here in this tenement area. I'm sure they'll make it onto the guide soon, but I wanted to get some input from the general populace. Trying to re-create the eye symbol on an untouched wall produced no reaction, but I can't help but wonder if there isn't something we're meant to do with these.

[The video comes back around to Hange.] In slightly worse news, we've come to a dead end here. There's a southern branch to these tunnels, but it doesn't lead to anything but snow. Oh! But we did find a couple of undiscovered buildings- rooms, really, but nothing looks like it could be a way through. I've marked it on the map that everyone's using- the dead end branch, that is. Oh, and I've got videos of the things we found. If anyone has any input, that would be great!

[It sounds like they actually mean that. As the message ends, Hange sends along several files: an addendum to House's map showing the area with the dead end, and several videos of the various eyes they've encountered and new apartments they've entered, as well as one of the dead end itself.]

Maybe it's a message, maybe the admin are watching more closely there? Can you look around, see any cameras?

Oh, that's a good idea! I didn't see any cameras, but I can look for them in the morning, or next time we see any symbols.

That's what I at first assumed, but given the frequency and variety of the symbol, the persistence of it... It has to mean something, surely.

Do any of the eyes look different from the others, or are they all pretty uniform?

Aside from the size and the materials used, they all seem to be the same general shape: a circle inside of the larger oval.

Any differences in colour, or-- I don't know, maybe I'm looking for patterns where there aren't any.

The painted ones are always black, as far as I remember. And it's good to look for patterns, it might help us figure things out.

That's got to mean something, are the black ones in any special arrangement?

The black ones are the ones that are everywhere. As in, the houses with black ones have more than one, all over their walls.

I recommend it, so long as you're careful. This place is very treacherous. We fell through a floor the other day, though it looks like Levi might've already told you about it.

I'm not sure what else eyes could really denote except someone watching, or... maybe that you need to keep a higher watch in that area, it might be dangerous.

This place is definitely dangerous to walk through. We fell through some garbage a few days ago. It'd be really easy to get hurt out here. We're lucky we weren't worse off.

What do you mean 'you fell through some garbage'?

There was trash and debris strewn all over the ground. We had to walk over it to get around, and some of it was unstable. We fell through it, but it wasn't that deep. It could be in other areas, though.

I wouldn't have thought any garbage would be left, most of the rest of the town is so ruined. What kind of things were there?

...Maybe garbage wasn't the right word. It was mostly just pieces of whatever building used to be out here. It's hard to avoid walking on it because it's everywhere. It's a huge mess.

Can you tell what destroyed the buildings so badly?

Not really. Judging by how completely trashed they are, I'd guess maybe an earthquake or some kind of explosion. Something really bad.

It's strange that none of the rest of the town was destroyed like that if it was an earthquake, it seems more likely it was a direct attack given how localised the damage is.

...Yeah, you're right. It is strange. I definitely wouldn't recommend coming out here for now. Not unless we wind up finding something in the museum.

Will you keep me informed if you do find anything? I've not been out that way yet, and I'd like to hear what's there.
