Like, really stupid.

The video begins innocuously enough - just Angel, beaming at the camera and offering a glowy little wave. ]

Hi. We - uh, Rhys and I - need some help with an argument we've been having. Just a frivolous one, nothing important. So: who wore it better?

[ She attaches a file - a photo of Beckett in a flower crown, sleeping, with a snoring Rhys drooling on his shoulder. Also in a flower crown. Then covers her mouth with a vaguely guilty look. Oops. ]

Wait, not - not that one. Shoot. Let me just - okay, who wore this better?

[ And this time she attaches the right image - herself and Rhys wearing shitty skirts made out of bedsheets. Yes, they shaved their legs for this. Yes, Rhys too. They're Hyperion okay grooming is important ]

Rhys thinks that just because his legs are longer, he--

[ But she gets no further, because she's interrupted by happy robot screams as the same bedsheet floats across the screen. It's either a spooky ghost, or Dumpy wanted to demonstrate that he wears it best. WHO KNOWS??? Either way, the feed ends. What an important post. ]

[It's not what she was expecting, and the sight of both Angel and Rhys fills her with a little bit of preemptive dread at what they might be possibly be doing now. Dread that proves itself thoroughly unfounded after a few seconds. It's all horribly silly, but she still finds herself genuinely smiling at the sight of all the pictures, of the trio of them in their normal chaotic mess.]

Dumpy definitely wins. I think the color really suits him.

[There's a whisper of happy warmth in her voice, despite how dreadfully tired it sounds.]

He wasn't an option but he's the overwhelming favorite, so I think we're just going to have to give it to him.

It's so good to hear their voices, especially being cheerful and making jokes, so he enters into it with enthusiasm.]

[Seeing Frisk's reply up there eases his concerns a little - they are, after all, quite self-sufficient and they look like they're having fun. It's just that after Quark, and with Toriel right here, her own motherly concern amplifying his own paternal tendencies in a feedback loop of empathy of ridiculous proportions, he likes seeing confirmation they're still alive as they make their way towards them.

At least, their ease makes him more able to find a smile of his own for them.]

I certainly hope you put some more covering clothes on after posing like that. You both wear it very well.

[In fact, he isn't sure how to pick one - to him, they're emphasizing two completely different things, so it's like apples and oranges. He smiles a little wider as Dumpy whizzes by. He really needed the lightheartedness, himself.]
