[Al thought long and hard about whether to filter this away from anyone, especially people like the Joker, but in the end he decided against it. The Guide is for everyone, and it will hardly come as a surprise to people like them that they're warned against.

He's been working on it for days now, feverishly using it as a way to distract from all that's happened. It's not worked so well, he feels a hollow ache inside and he can't stop thinking about all the people that he's failed, right back to Tadashi. Steph is only the latest one, but it cuts deeply. He feels so helpless, so useless, and perhaps that's why he's thrown himself into updating the survival guide. Maybe he can help others in this way, maybe he can help keep even one person alive.]

Good morning, everyone, it's Alphonse Elric here. I'm sure a lot of you are already aware of the survival guide, but it was getting out of date and-- Well, I've rewritten it.

[There's a fairly long pause, before this document is sent out to everyone.]

I am a warrior, I can teach them combat, how to use a shield and swing a sword. Of more use here, mayhap, is my knowledge of how to survive the snows and keep in a fighting condition.

[It's good to know that someone is already going to be putting the guide to use, and he immediately fumbles the document open and painstakingly types in Haurchefant's name. It takes a while, partially because he is still bad at text, and partially because he's walking at the same time.]

That's definitely useful. A lot of people who come here have never had to survive in these extreme cold conditions before, so anyone who has knowledge of snow survival skills is useful.

My name is Aigis. If it's alright, I would like to be added to the guide. I have extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering. I'm also familiar with computer science, though my knowledge about that may be obsolete in this time.

I'm actually pretty ignorant when it comes to computers myself, but I know that a lot of what goes on here is to do with, um, servers and things like that.

It would be more useful if there were more electronics left. [There's a little regret in Aigis' voice, too.] But I'm hopeful that this place isn't as barren as it seems.

I do not know exactly how this particular network functions, but I could tell you about the technology from my time. It was 2010 where I came from.

There's not a lot to find, you're right, but it seems like the admin and this network and even the NIMA work on electronics of some kind. I don't know if they're similar to the electronics where you're from, but it still has to be helpful to have some grounding, right?

Using the facts. I'm a vampire. I can't always control my hunger. I will warn people in my vicinity, and when I tell them to avoid meeting me in person, it's best to listen. Much more practical than "Mnemosyne is on the prowl, hide your children, hide your puppies".

Only...maybe try to make it not sound so frightening?

That's a good idea, I'll make sure to add in a warning about staying somewhere too long. But I think it sounding frightening isn't such a bad idea, it makes sure people take the warning seriously.
