I never met his brother, but he used to travel with the group before I joined.

No. It was the first time he died.

[ He's thinking about how two people went out that night and only one came back in. How shut down Zack was and how he refused to say much of anything other than Hiro was gone. ]

As far as I know he hasn't died once.

There might be some kind of glitch not registering his master as dead until he dies.

I'm saying the admin might not be registering his former owner as eligible for resurrection until he's "fully dead", which would require the death of the creature pulled in with him.

He's a robot, even with an AI he still doesn't have a soul. I'm not denying that he has feelings and preferences, but that doesn't mean he's alive.

They brought back Dumpy so that means there is something.
