[Alfie has the camera centered on his face. It's a shot from the chest-up only (and yes, he is wearing his bathrobe), so not much can be seen of his surroundings, but he appears to be sitting on a couch.]

It's time we talk, right, about these expeditions going on, and how we're gonna do them. We've got-- how many is it, charging ahead to seek out clues? I'd appreciate a count on that, actually. There are some to the south and some to the east, and more hoping to reach them in both directions. That is a lot of fucking people who are gonna want to focus on moving forward, and not on taking the time to run back for food.

So what I'm suggesting, here, is we set up a system of supply runs. Food, tools, warm clothing, anything to keep you lot from dying off before you can accomplish something worthwhile. I'm volunteering myself for this, and some of the rest of you would be smart to do the same. And I'm not gonna charge the people I bring supplies to.

[That's definitely unusual for him - but it would be against his best interests to make things difficult for the explorers right now, and while he does have some interest in turning a profit, progress towards escape is infinitely more important to him.]

That's the supplies I collect for this, mind. Necessary goods only. Luxury items come at a cost. And nobody's getting my own personal things for free; fuck off.

[He gives a dismissive little wave of his hand.]

Something organized would be best. I've got experience with trade and movement of goods, right; I know how these things work. My advice - stick with the groups you've got, and pick some people in each of 'em to stay behind for this. Coordinate with other groups. Make sure everybody is covered. The last thing we fucking need is someone finding something useful, and dying before they get the chance to share it.

Now, I'm heading east soon. Could head down south later. If you're interested in cooperation with me, specifically - I won't accept just anyone, but I will consider taking on people to work with me, and people to work for me. Think about your skills, your strengths, your weaknesses. Whether you would rather be self-sufficient, or directed and taken care of. Then contact me, and we will discuss.

In the past we used to store cold rations in structures that are distant from food supplies.

It allowed people to remain fed without needing to forsake their path and go back whence they came.

This, I think, would be a wise practice to adopt going forward.

Many of those who devoted themselves to the task have since passed on.

The rations I carry are shared with my companions but should I find myself alone once more I have the strength to carry much and would be full glad to store spare food.

I'm small. I can look in places some people can't. But I don't know if I can run very far for a "supply run." I get tired.

I'm traveling alone anyway so I could run stuff around if you wanted me to! I'm in the new area to the South and I know there's a restaurant down here. I could take food and move it around to people. I could also take stock of what's in all the buildings we've found!

What sort of restaurant? Does the food keep?

Um, it has chicken nuggets and stuff like that. I think it'd keep pretty well, especially if I wrapped it up in paper or something!

There are more people coming our way, too, so it might be best that it's not too crowded over there. But I can fill up a couple pillow cases full of food, and bring it over there quickly, if the weather's good enough. I run fast.
