[log] God Must Hate Me [closed]
Characters: House, the Joker, Luna, and Quark
Location Building 58
Date: Day 139/140
Summary: House really wasn't expecting the Joker to leave downtown... It's a heartfelt reunion! And maybe some decryption on the side.
Warnings: The Joker is his own warning, as is House. Will add specifics if/when they come up!
[The building is a simple single-story house, the snow weighs uneasily on it, and it creaks and groans under the strain at the best of times. It's very dark, and only the kitchen and living room are intact. The kitchen has a back door. Two snowmen have been built outside. A message has been written on the wall in blue ink: "Don't wreck the snowmen! That's super mean!" "ALPHONSE ELRIC, MAMI TOMOE, FREYA CRESCENT, GREED, EDWARD ELRIC, STEPHANIE BROWN, DAY FORTY ONE, TRAVELLING EAST." has been carved into one of the walls. The following has been written on the wall in blue pen: "This is Building95 97 on the composite map. Contact @CaptSteveRogers for details." Underneath this is a fairly accurate map showing the house in relation to the school and buildings 29, 35, 35, 37, 40, 41, 47, 48, 50, 53. House 34 is labeled "Medical assistance; hot, clean water. Contact Dr. Epps @claytonator". The school is labeled "School. Food available in cafeteria; DO NOT STAY HERE OVERNIGHT." The shed is labeled "Shed".]

But morning also brings Robert Miller, an idea, success at decrypting the black SD Card. He knows he needs Tifa, but that will have to wait. It's nearing the end of lockdown when House approaches Luna.
He's hyper aware of the Joker's focus on him, so this is going to have to look like something else entirely. House is relieved beyond words that his voice is back, as well.]
Hey. Moona.
[His palm hits the wall to one side of her, boxing her in partly as House smirks.]
I don't think I thanked you properly for that tea.

U-um--!!
You... um... you don't have to... I-I, um...
[Her shoulders draw up tight, trying and failing to look at everything but him.]
I-I take it you're feeling better this morning...??

Taking Joker to the school. Get Quark the hell away from it and stay away.
[It's only a moment later that he pulls back and his lips are pressed to hers. His hand slides from Luna's chin to cup her cheek. House's eyes are half-lidded and bored throughout.]

What does she do? What does she do???? Between her confusion at how he's talking to her and the shock of hearing what he whispers, it's enough to make her look of incredulous dismay that much more believable when his mouth overlaps her own.
At least there's believable warmth to the skin of her lips so that House doesn't have to feel like he's macking on a dead fish. But Luna doesn't bother to return the action, keeping perfectly still and rigid despite for how her eyes screw shut, so as not to stare at him the whole time.]

Jesus Christ, lighten up. He kissed me yesterday. [House jerks a thumb at the Joker.] I needed the clown off my lips.
