[There's no pithy commentary from House as is more common for the introductions to one of his piano sessions. It's also on video at the moment because House... can't figure out how to change it to just audio. He really hates this particular effect. So, anyone in Snowhell who has yet to actually see Dr. Hotstud House will get a view of him. He's a haggard, middle-aged man who's looking closer to just plain 'aged' after more than three months in Norfinbury. He has the tablet propped up where the sheet music would usually go, and keeps his eyes down or closed as he begins to play. He mouths some of the words, brows furrowed and body swaying to the music.

He runs through that. And then, because he's not going to be able to play and 'talk' to people at the same time, he moves into another tune before stopping and checking for responses.]

I prefer "I Remember Larry". The drama speaks to me.

[He sings a bit off key.]

Say, do you remember when I broke in Larry's house
Late at night and tied his mouth with a rag?
Then I dragged him by his ankles to the middle of the forest
And stuffed him in a big plastic bag
If the cops ever find him, who knows what they'd say
But I'm sure if ol' Lar' were still with us today
He would have to agree with me it was a pretty good gag

[Of course that would be the Joker's favorite. There's a flicker of fear, if only because this is the guy he's going to be meeting with, but it's covered over quickly with a mocking smile. If they're going to go for death and destruction, then. He points to himself and raises a hand before playing a song the Joker will probably recognize.]

[A giggle.]

A fella could almost interpret your choice in song as a threat....

[House points at himself, brows up in such shock. He clenches a fist and shakes it at Joker before pointing at the other man, then shaking his head.

Threaten, the Joker? He would never.]

Cat got your tongue, eh?

[A small, scolding tut.]

So...How'dya die this time?

[His expression hardens for a split second at the teasing. It's the same line Royce had used, and it's not any more amusing coming from the Joker. But that smooths out as he shrugs and reaches for his notepad. He flips to a page and holds that up. It shows a stick figure with a cane running away from a many-armed monster.

Such is life. Anomalies, you know? They're annoying. Yes.]

Yanno, Doc, I'm impressed. I've heard of birds that drown in an inch of water and methinks they'd have better survival skills around here than you do.

[House puts on an expression of deep offense before flashing four, then six fingers. He draws a circle with his finger going counter clockwise, and then finishes it by drawing his thumb sharply across his throat.

46 days before his first death. Thank you.]

Whazzat?

Ten rings to rule them all? That doesn't sound right...

[He rolls his eyes and flips to a new page for his notepad. It takes House a moment, but the Joker will then be treated to the following crayon drawing:

46 tally marks, something that looks vaguely like a calendar, a bee, four more tally marks, a blue ribbon pinned on a stick figure's chest, and finally a grave with a headstone.]

...Can't just write out a sentence either, eh, Doc?

[That nets Joker an unimpressed look. Thank you, Captain Obvious. He mimes writing and then talking before making a cutting motion.]

I don't understand that gesture, am I wrong?

[He completely understood that gesture.]

[Fine, you want to play like that? House pulls a mock-sympathetic look and nods before shrugging. The Joker is totally wrong.]
