[ Nope. Nope nope nope nope. Tim is done. Being swooped away to snow hell? Not okay. Dying while in snow hell? Really not okay. Waking up in a body bag on a shelf after that?
'Okay' is now so far away that it is a mere pinprick in the distance. There is no okay to be found anywhere in his vicinity. Tim would spend some time fondly trying to remember the long-forgotten concept of okayness if he were at all capable of doing anything but freaking the fuck out.
He turns on the video function of his tablet, shakily recording the shelf he was recently lying on, and anyone watching might make out a few hoarse breathy noises. There's a dramatic lurch in the feed as Tim almost drops the tablet, and the video cuts out.
It's followed up soon afterwards with a text message. ]
well ok then. I'm alive but I can't talk
so that's new
there've been guys who came back from the dead blind/deaf too, right? so maybe whatever brought us here is taking parts of us. the snow preserves us after we die so the parts they/it wants stay fresh
I mean there's no wound or w/e but. I'm also not dead, so.
it could have taken my vocal cords and also one of my kidneys or something and nobody would know.
this is so messed up
if they'd just tell us what they want I'd donate my entire god damn FACE if they'd just stop it
and I'm pretty sure I can see the west snow wall from here. which is nuts because I know for a fact that I was DAYS away from it on foot when I died
so
how are they moving the bodies
[ It's more evidence that it's the tall thing that's doing all this, as far as he's concerned. Not that he's going to offer that as a possibility. ]

you too can go from "squished into a sports shed" to "squished into a bodybag" in just four days by following the Tim Wright plan
housewives everywhere are raving about it

@SummerVacation
What do you mean... the parts they want?
no subject
for unholy rituals. illegal experiments. cannibalism. or just to sell them on the black market? idk
there has to be a reason. They have to want *something*
so
no subject
What are they waiting for though? And who are 'they' supposed to be?

Larynx transplants aren't very common, so I don't think they would take your vocal cords. At least, not for any logical reason. If there isn't a wound, they're probably still there. It's more likely you caught Laryngitis, since viruses thrive in cold weather. Or it could be a response to trauma, maybe. I'm not a psychologist.
J haven't seen any tracks from vehicles, but the snow could be falling so heavily that they're quickly covered.
no subject
would not recommend the whole dead experience
maybe they're building like. do you still know about the whole frankenstein thing in the future
they could be building an artificial person out of recycled bits and I'd believe it at this point
the thing about being dead and then not dead is that it makes you believe all the craziest stuff.
and I haven't heard vehicles either. or seen anywhere to store them but idk other people might have
it's just all so WEIRD and makes less sense the more I think about it
no subject
I think that might be the point, it not making any sense. I've been tossing around the idea of it being a psychological experiment. We're clearly being monitored, probably even now.
I swear to god, this place makes us more paranoid by the second.

[But first, the sappy shit.]
Took you long enough. I'm glad you're back with us.
Do you know what kind of building you're in?
no subject
looks like a body storage place? a morgue or w/e
it feels thick in here. like the school. The air's all wrong
no subject
[Clayton can absolutely relate to this. Intense claustrophobia + body bags = a very bad time.]
Yeah, I remember [...well, no he doesn't. Be careful with your words, Epps.] mentioning that. The funeral home I woke up in felt the same way. Have you looked around outside the morgue, or is it just all morgue?

are you okay? we talked the first day. if you remember me.

glad you're still doing ok out there. you're not still alone, right
as for how I'm still here, beats me
Guess I'm just one of the lucky ones. unless you take into account the fact that I'm here, I have no voice and also I died in the first place

I doubt they took any part of you. The blinded man still has his eyes, and memories are not physical things that can be removed.
[That there is more to sight than the eyes and a physical component to memory is far beyond his time. Not that even neuroscience really explains the memory thing anyway.]
no subject
the guy's corneas or whatever? or is it retinas. idk I'm not a doctor
I
didn't think about people losing memories though
I guess that blows the sinister organ trade theory out of the water. unless the memory-loss people just got their appendix snatched or something
[ nope nope oh god memory loss nope IT WAS THE TALL THING NOPE N O P E ]

Hope is missing her memories, though. Unless there is some way of removing those physically, I think something else is responsible. Or perhaps you are a little correct, but what is taken from us is not taken by any physical means.no subject
and wrt that I can't really imagine people harvesting and selling memories on ebay, so
I guess that means it's still a competition between "it's all an experiment" and "a wizard did it" as far as an explanation goes.
you'd think that'd be less disturbing than the black market organ trade idea but NOPE

anyway, nope. no new scars, no amnesia. I think, anyway
my memory can be kind of spotty in general, so.

jsyk though this wasn't some whole "fate catching up with me blah blah" deal. I made a choice
dying was basically voluntary on my part, so.
