Location Post Office

defacing propertymaking murals made it so much easier to phase out and lose himself into the static in his mind. So much better than the thoughts and feelings that came up when he was idle. Than the hurt he wasn't equipped to deal with or even understand. He'll pause his arting when he gets company and go to sit in a corner, next to his stuff (and to stare at his company), but eventually he'll return to it. Its better this way.*

It's only me, Brian. You don't have to stop, okay?
[See, she's even pulling her tablet out, just for you.]
I saw this earlier... What are you drawing?

pic tur es
*Yep, that sure answers that question.*

[ HELLO FRIEND HOPE YOU LIKE TACKLEHUGS
It's pretty late in the day when Jade arrives, so he might have resumed his drawing by now. In which case he is definitely falling because she's still carrying her Stuff. Oops. ]

This was okay. It was just Jade. It was fine.
He makes a little...uncertain but possibly happy noise. For the moment he can handle this.*
no subject
[ She scrambles off of him only to go for another hug, squeezing a little before finally freeing him. For real this time. ]
I just really missed you. [ Jade is super jazzed to see her bestest snowbuddy, so she's already on her feet and offering Brian a hand. ]
no subject
It takes him a moment to realize what the offered hand is for, but once he does he takes it to help himself up. And then just sorta stands there, unsure what to do.
But, notably, not letting go of her hand. Its not clear if he forgot about the contact already or if he's okay with it.*

What are you drawing - Oh. [ Brian pls now she feels extra bad about leaving you all alone :'( ]
Is that... a horrorterror? And the Green Sun?

*Both the beastie that ate Jade and the word that it repeated.*
no subject
[ This is really weird. The Green Sun was destroyed, so why would (something pretending to be) a horrorterror bring it up? ]
Well, the Green Sun is gone now, if that makes it easier to... I don't know, stop fixating on it? It's probably not important. Oh! Speaking of drawing - [ Jade fishes for her own tablet and then sits on the floor. You're gonna want to take a seat, my dude. ]
I talked to Tim a few days ago; he does not sound... entirely opposed to the idea of letting me help your friend. I even have an idea!

*He sits down near her...nearer than usually. Clearly its just so he can see her tablet, though. No other reason.
Or that's what he tells himself*help h o w

[ Because They Will, duh. Even if Dirk's powers are a bust, ghosts can live in robots, right? Maybe the same principle applies to vaguely supernatural alternate personalities. ]
I already have some ideas, but you know it better than I do. Do you have any suggestions?

[ That's not an effective argument though, so Jade engages the puppy
notdog face. ]And I like him! I'd be really upset if he was gone.
[ Brian. Buddy. Think about it.
Look at that face.
Don't crush her dreams. ]

*Or would Masky prefer a robot? Without the wrong face...*

[ Which hopefully isn't anytime soon, for Tim's sake. :( ]
A robot body would be more comfortable anyway, right? You can customize it however you want - uh, not that you need one.

See, I used to sleepwalk when I was really young, so my Grandpa built a robot to do it for me. That's how I got the idea to help your friend! It activated whenever I fell asleep, which is kind of like blacking out. And then I thought about how my friends could help once we get out of here.
Is there a reason you think Tim should be the one to move, though? He seems more attached to his body than the other guy.
no subject
She seems really excited about this idea, though. It probably wouldn't hurt to let her think about it. If there's even the tiniest possibility...but then would Masky even go for it? He has no idea.*

*In some twisted way, the affection that orginal-flavor Brian felt for non-masked Tim has transferred to Masky. They were both born of the same sort of thing, after all. So in his mind Masky is 100% the correct Tim and has first dibs on the body. Even though Masky himself seems to regard Tim as the original/host.*

She didn't expect to run into people, from the apparent difficulty of navigating the town. Her uniform offers little protection from the cold (which she's somehow much more aware of now), so she's relieved to be inside, but she doesn't want to intrude.
So her first words are:] I'm sorry. I didn't realize there were people here already.
no subject
When she sees the doors open again and hear a voice that's surprisingly familiar, though, she can't help but force herself back up to her feet, trying to wave her down before Brian became too anxious.]
N-no, don't worry about that... Shelter is shelter, regardless of company.
You're... Aigis, aren't you?
no subject
[She seems a little excited about that fact, even if the expression of it in her words is lacking some fluency.]
no subject
[She extends a hand out to shake, if the blonde is comfortable doing so... though her eyes flicker to the metal band crisscrossing her head. It looks... hollow? Was it a trick of the light, maybe?]
It's so good to see you, Aigis. Were you able to find anything with the screen in the cafe earlier?
no subject
She'll still offer a gentle smile if approached, though she looks very, very tired.]
