Audio/Action to SL; Day 110; Up and Dead Center

[ You'd think this would be the easy part after working at this and only finally squaring things away.

Truth is? It's not.

The audio catches the tail end of an exhale as he finally gets himself to just do it already. ]

So, me and Kain made a detour a while ago at the hospital. I know it might seem in bad taste, but we photographed everyone we found there. I figured it would help to... confirm some things. [ Closure. Evidence. An end to false hope. If that's what they want anyway. He isn't about to speak for them all. ]

It's probably kinda dated now, but we were trying to clean up the distortion some and get as many names down as we could. But honestly, we still don't know everyone we found there. So, if you know anyone we haven't identified, let me know. Thanks.

Alright.

[Rubbing the back of his head as he looks up at Zack again. She's from his world and they worked in the place. He talked to her as often as Tifa and Jim back then. She was also one of his first friends here in Norfinbury, but it's still not even close to the amount of time Zack had with her.

Maybe some day they'll get confirmation she isn't just hiding out some where.]

[ He raises his head, catching that look. Vaguely remembers that night they'd all been together under that one roof. Zell's heart's always so much on his sleeve... ]

if I hear anything you'll be the first to know. sound good?

[He'll look up from the tablet to look at Zack a bit. After a moment or two, he'll head over to where he is before plopping down to lean against him. Hello.

Typing a response.]

Sounds good. I guess I just want to confirm it.
And maybe say goodbye.

[It just feels all... final. And he's not sure if he likes that. He wants to see her again. It's one thing when you lose people in battle. You come to expect it, but it's entirely different losing friends to the unknown.]

[ The company and sudden space invasion of Zell gets Zack coiling an arm around his shoulders. Hey there. With his other hand, he taps through his own tablet and pauses... Then types up a response in turn albeit slower. ]

I don't blame you. before I saw anything actually happen to anyone I thought it was all just a scare tactic.

[ A pause before more typing: ]

but saying goodbye's never an easy thing.

[He's going to look over at Jim for a moment.]

Yeah, it's not.

[He had to say goodbye before. People who attended the same school that he used to see in the halls all the time. Garden felt close to empty after everything that happened.]

Can't let it keep me down, though.
He'll worry.

[ The glance gets Zack looking over, too. His eyes don't stay on Jim long though. No need to draw attention. His eyes are back on his tablet then. ]

probably. the less he has to worry about the better.

it's not like it's something that can be fixed either. all you can do is move on.
