[network] @Summoner; Video; Day 092; The pressure's on [open]
[ When the feed starts, there's a strange pumping sound that may or may not be familiar to some of the Snowhellions. Soon, though, the mystery is solved as Sheena angles the tablet down to show just what's making that sound: a pressure cuff. Her voice comes over the shot. ]
Can someone tell me what exactly this is? I have no idea, but it's pretty good for training.
[ She shows what she means as she sets the tablet aside to let out the pumped air and tighten the knob again, pumping with the other hand. It's also keeping her warm. Slightly. ]

Video, @Griever

[ She looks from him to the cuff then back. ]
You can check your blood pressure? With this? How?
[ Yes, there are doctors on her world, and they may have something like this, but she's never seen it. ]

[He sits down, leans the tablet against a wall to have his hands free and taps his chin with a gloved hand. It would be easier if he was there to show her but...]
First, wrap the inflatable part around your arm, right above your elbow, and you want the cable to pass right here...
[He slowly proceeds with the explanation, it's a good thing Aerith explained him how to use most of hose basic medical items when they were young.]
That's when you put on the earpiece, if you have it: it's called stethoscope. you start pumping air in and as soon as you hear your own heartbeat you know your diastolic pressure, the lower one, and when after pumping more air you have your systolic one, meaning you know the pressure in your arteries when the heart is pumping. Do you want to try? I doubt we're in great conditions considering we're devouring only junk food but... eh.
...
Actually, if you have the stethoscope it could actually be useful to try to analyze those buzzing sounds from beyond some walls?

[ Surviving.
Oh. He would ask... She hadn't told him about Zelos. As she does what he tells her, she keeps her eyes focused on the cuff instead of him. ]
Zelos is gone. He...died several days ago.
[ And she had continued to go where he had wanted to go. ]
I, uh, don't have any kind of earpiece. Just this thing. But, I'd be able to hear my blood moving if I did? [ That's pretty cool. ] Let me guess, it's stronger when my heart pumps? Kind of like the air is when I pump this thing?
[ She gives the pump a few squeezes before looking up. ]
Has anyone tried mimicking the sounds to see what would happen?
[ Like some weird form of a mating call. ]

[Yeah, surviving, looking for tools and surviving. At first he just needed to find a way out, how he realized it's not so different from when he arrived the first time in traverse town, after his world's destruction. And he's just thinking about how to make this place better as long as they have to stay there.
not that he's no longer looking for a way out, mind you, but sometimes you have to be patient. And everyone's effort already is on looking for a way out, so...]
Mh?
[He blinks, twice, and sighs deeply. He's gone, mh?]
The only thing we can hope is that he will wake up again, someday, or when we finally break this place down. [The man is trying to sound reassuring but the sad truth is: he doesn't believe that himself.] Hey, if you feel lonely you can travel with me. I don't have a real objective for now, I'm just gathering useful stuff, but it's better than being alone.
[mostly because he can grab the attentions of mosnters easily, apparently. Or at least that happened when he was with House, Ginger and Enoch.]
If you had the missing piece you could hear your heart pumping. the headpiece can also be used to check someone's lungs and other things but... that wasn't my job, back home, so I can't really explain you how that works.
[he simply shrughs]
I tried to interact with all the presences and sounds I found, the only one that interacted back turned my beacon on and then disappeared. I should probably return to that place, sooner or later.

I'm just psychic, I guess.
[ Sheena had learned that in this place, the only way out is through--which means you have to be able to survive to get there in the first place. So, it's only a matter of time before they got to where they needed to be.
Her laughter fades. ]
Yeah. I hope so. [ She's trying, Leon. She really is. Demyx and many others have yet to wake up, even though others have. Which actually scares her since people tend to have something missing when that happens.
Luckily, he's soon distracting her. ]
Hear my heart pumping? Seriously? Damn. Now I wish I had one of those things. I wonder if anyone has one? And your beacon's on too, huh? But how did it turn it on? [ She had turned hers on a few months ago, and so far, nothing's happened.
And she isn't ignoring his offer; she just had to think about it. ]
And traveling together sounds like a good idea. We can meet up. I'm in the tunnel area right now. Where are you?
[ OOC: Which of course, will change..lol ]

[To be honest he's quite the good dancer, even if he only praticed with slow music. Someday he'll entertain you with that... maybe. Probably not but there's a chance, okay?]
The best thing we can do is to focus on surviving.
[There's a long, awkward pause, he scratches his head then tries to... well, reassures her in his way. AFTER TURNING THE FEED TO PRIVATE BECAUSE NO ONE NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT HIS PERSONAL LIFE ANYWAY!]
You know, the world I'm from... Radiant Garden was desroyed when I was around your age. It was... swallowed by darkness and only an handful of people managed to run away. I spent almost ten years believing I'd never be able to see that place but the most absurd hero shown himself and... now I live there again.
It's a mess, it's infested by monsters, I have to spend most of my time fixing houses but it's back.... even if we all had no hope. It teached me that you always have to believe.
[Then again, this is ridicolous so let's return to better topics]
Yes. And you can ask around, maybe someone has the missing piece. My beacon turned on when I managed to interact with one of the local ghosts, I upset i completing its puzzle. At least it proved we can interact with them, how did you turn on yours?
[He nods]
Northern part of the city, I can reach you by the ice tunnels if you want.

[ The words may be arrogant, but the humor behind them is easy to spot.
He should see the way she dances. Nothing slow about it at all. But maybe one day he'll see it. Maybe. ]
Yeah.
[ Sheena only adds to the awkward pause by saying just one word and then falling silent, the only sound the pumping of the cuff around her arm and the release of air.
When he switches to private, she immediately follows, her expression concerned as she wonders what he has to tell her.
As he relates his tale, her expression softens and a small smile appears. ]
My friend Colette taught me that, too. Seems being here made me forget that. Thanks for reminding me.
[ And it's not ridiculous! ]
Well, that's one way to prove that, but I just hit the button when it appeared on my tablet. Now, I'm wondering if turning it on was a good thing or a bad thing since a ghost helped you with yours.
[ She pauses to think. ]
Okay, yeah. I can backtrack and meet you at the house that leads to the tunnels. How's that sound?

[He doesn't mean to offend, mind you, but all chats are good considering he doesn't talk so much. Leon sighs, dropping his blanket on the sad matress where he will try to get some sleep, he misses home more than he wants to admit. Being optimistck is... hard, even if he's trying to encourage the ninja.]
It's all okay, I forgot about that for a long time myself.
[And he even had ottobe reminded by a kid what hope really was. What a wonderful, responsible adult.]
I'm not sure. IT seems to attract monsters, yet it seems to keep us safe? It's hard to tell considering most people here don't really share their personal experiences with MN poisoning.
Not to mention... I've had the beacon on for a while bu I only encountered a monster so far.
Sounds perfect. I will check the rubbles around the area while waiting.

[ Her tongue is definitely in her cheek there, showing she's not offended at all. It's not often Sheena shows her sense of humor around others, so her doing so is a sign of her trusting him and considering him a friend.
And she can understand about being homesick. With Zelos there, it hadn't been so bad, but now that he's gone... She's trying to be optimistic about everything, but it's hard--even as she tries to help Leon through this whole thing, too. ]
It can happen, but as long as you remember, everything isn't all bad, right?
[ Nothing wrong with that. Sometimes kids see better than adults as their entire life is filled with hope. ]
Yeah, that confuses me, too. When Zelos first arrived, he had turned on his Beacon and I found him in the pharmacy with monsters trying to get to him. Mine wasn't on, so I was all right.
Now, I have mine on, and I still haven't had a problem.
[ Famous last words, as will be discovered in a few days. ]

[There's a small grin on his face, that's all said. It's hard for him to make proper friends but he's slowly starting to open up with her.
And- Zelos will return, that's what he'll always tell her, he may even joke about how the'll all miss each other when they'll find their way home, maybe even tossing in a 'we may never meet again but we will never forget each other' like he did in Castle Oblivion with Sora. It's hard but companions -friends- help each other, don't they?]
You have a point.
[He stops to consider her next words. No issues with the beacon on, mh?]
Uhn... I was traveling with Enoch, Ginger and House- [being almost completely silent, because he's a party pooper] And when a monster shown up it followed me, not the others, and I suspect this is because my beacon was on.
Whatever happens we have to do our best to stay safe, Sheena.
Keep playing safe and avoid big groups of people, hopefully it will keep you safe enough.
no subject
Although, telling her that Zelos will return may have mixed results for the ninja. Happiness that he's back, yet anger that he'd be there in unknown danger, instead of at home facing danger he's familiar with. ]
Yeah. That's something I learned right before coming here. And something I really have to fight hard to remember while I am here. [ Hopefully, Leon will remind her from time to time if she gets too bad. ]
You know [ and she cocks her head to the side ] there may be something to what you're saying about being with large groups. Although... We didn't have any problems when we were all in the shed. Hmmm... I wonder if the actual number of people have anything to do with it?
[ Shaking her head, she gives him a concerned look. ]
Don't worry about me; what about you?
no subject
But the Hero of the Keyblade isn’t around to solve anyone’s problems so…]
Let’s do our best to keep it in mind, Sheena.
[he hums tapping his chin, thinking about all the times he had been in the shed with more people than he wanted.]
True. Maybe the location is a factor as well? Last time we attempted a large reunion [Not him, Leon was in a close house but preferred to keep some distance] we lost Shephard and Miranda. And large groups have been, according to the recordings, more prone to meet creatures out here.
It may be a weird thing to say but I’m okay, I’ve lived in worse places, this city isn’t going to break me down so easily. And if I meet one of those anomalies… I alredy outrunned one.
